Nope. I am also from the school of never giving up. Have faith and stand your ground. So, I will keep believing that Garrett will be gone and someday I will have it. Till then, I will watch and wait.
So, as long as Garrett is here you have no plan?

I’m not sure it’s a fair analysis comparing Garrett to other teams with a normal front office and GM.

I’d be more apt to compare Garrett to our other Cowboy coaches this era.

We’ve had more proven and experience HC without much more success so I think the problem is much more deeply rooted than our HC.
Respectfully, your wrong. Haven’t you noticed all the ridiculous ways this team has lost under Garrett. Every year we lose games due to Garrett( basic game plans with mediocre or non existent in game adjustments, clock management mistakes, see the last 2 GB games, etc)

Reading comprehension must not be your thing. Re read what I said and maybe MY PLAN will start to emerge for you.
i don’t see any plan as long as Garrett is here but wait and see which means you’ve given up with no hope as long as he’s here. That’s not a plan.

I understand but if removing Garrett isn’t an option ...then what? You just give up?

OK Sparky if you say so. Now If my plan actually carried any weight with the FO, Dallas would be on its way to the SB. But alas, my plan means nothing to ole Jerry so it is what it is.

IDK.. but you have to try. We came close a couple years breaking thru to a championship game. How do we add to that?

Since the Cowboys don't seem to be interested in free agency much anymore, its going to be mainly the draft.

We need to stop drafting gimps and drug addicts, we need guys that can start ASAP.

That’s right.

My purpose is to find a way around the problem.

Assassination?
We’re all frustrated . If I was going to give up I would have years ago with Jerry.

We all see the weaknesses of Garrett too.

I’m about finding a way to overcome them both. The only way I see is more elite talent which guarantees nothing.

Also, better asst coaches since Jerry seems more willing to replace them.

But when I see how close we've come a couple years it provides me some hope despite Jerry and Jason.

If we had a better defense could we have stopped Rodgers last year? Just sayin...

But we need all of our stars on the field for we can’t overcome without them.

Honestly, I don't think having the ability to have elite talent at every position will make a difference with this clapping staff... they don't game plan competently, and it doesn't matter how good your players are if they don't have a good plan in place. We've seen over the last 7 years how badly Carrot manages and plans for games.

Correct. We need to hit on more picks. Not just in the 1st round.

Exactly.............you and me are on the same wave length here my friend, both of us know Garrett is an idiot head coach, but if Jerry will not fire his illegitimate son, how can we work around that. My worry is that the draft is not going to be enough.

If the team is really going to try and make this work with Garrett (not holding my breathe it will), they really need to be players in free agency. Just sticking to the draft I don't know if it is going to be enough. And I am talking good free agents here, not scrubs like Nolan Carroll that get released after the season starts.

It might not be enough . It’s not enough for some teams with better coaching .

We don’t need elite talent at every position but key positions .

What if Dak had as good of year as Wentz or Goff? And Elliott or Lee wasn’t out. What if Taco had as good of year as Lawrence?

We might only need 2 or 3 more key elite pieces to take next step.

How far away were we to breaking thru last year? Were we feeling doomed after 2016?

They would game plan if they knew what they were doing but they don't. I do think Marinelli knows what he's doing, but his scheme is a tad out dated, but it least it sort of showed up. Offensively, I think it's a mess over there.

Butler admitted that Romo put the game plan in, so last year, guess who was coaching up Dak? Now that Romo is gone, now you see the lack of sophistication from the offensive side of the ball. These coaches have NO CLUE. To me, if you're going to keep the coach in training, and hire all ex players, hire Romo as the offensive coordinator, pay him a boat load of money, and keep Garrett away from it.

In my honest opinion, I think Romo would make a fantastic offensive/Head Coach. If you're going to put a coach in training anyways, may as well put Romo there and move Garrett to the front office where we can't see him. I don't believe we should hire an inexperienced coach, but since Jerry is hell bent on that, may as well put Romo there.

9 head coaches still have their job since Garrett became the full time HC in 2011:
6 have won Super Bowls and 7 have appeared in the Super Bowl. Marvin Lewis and Jason Garrett are the odd men out.
Good job Garrett, your in good company with Marvin Lewis...SHEESH!
