Since weed is stored in Fat and it stays in your system for months. How do they know if he freshly smoked weed or old weed? Just asking.

I had a friend that smoked for years...then tried to get clean. It literally took him almost a year before he finally could pass a pee test. And he tried all the gimmicks to get clean...Gold seal....Drano....Detoxify LLC Instant Clean...Clean slate....He tried it all...And the only thing that really helped him was this stuff called Mexico hot box. Said it burned like hell...but least he could get a job.

Trouble is, no other team is dumb enough to take these two basket cases on.
Actually, there are basket cases all over the NFL.

I remember Seattle had 6 guys suspended at one time a few years ago.

What is different is that we have more information on bio markers for cancer. I don't know that many would argue that bipolar is not biologically based as we do know there is a genetic component.

It is funny you suggest the medical community views work on psychological disorders as pseudoscience. Since 2013, the NIMH, our country's largest funder of work in mental health refuses to fund any diagnostic work that does not involve biological markers. Practically, they had deemphasized funding of that work for years already. Perhaps the medical community that you speak of needs to keep current?

And under those NIMH guidelines;

1. Has it led to the discovery of even a single biological marker that enables diagnostic decisions?

2. Has there been any reliable evidence supporting the theory that mental disorders are caused by bodily pathology?

The answer to those questions are negative.

That's the problem with comparing mental illness with cancer.

And for the sake of this thread topic, I don't find it necessary to continue discussing this here.

they say it is about 3 weeks....the tests are pretty precise and they recently raised the baseline to trigger a positive to eliminate the idea of second hand smoke....they went from 15 nanograms of THC to 35 nanograms...for comparison MLB's is 50 and the Olympics is 150

They also take an A and B sample....if the A sample is above 35 then the B is also tested....Ricky Williams actually failed a a test where the A sample was 15.4 and the B was 14.8..if they had been labeled differently then he would have passed

If a player fails a test he goes to Stage 2....if he stays clean for 90 days nothing happens and he goes back to out of the program(tested once a year from 4.20 to 8.9).........if he fails a test in Stage 2 then it is a 2 game fine and then a 4 game fine.....they also move to Stage 3.....they stay in Stage 3 with completely random tests for 2 years...if you test clean for 2 years you leave the program and go back to Stage 1

yea, manziel went to rehab to, so going is a bit over rated

Nothing is guaranteed but you don't give up on him after one year. He is in rehab and you hope that he comes out and gets it together. If he doesn't, you get rid of him. If you get rid of him now, you may be watching him sacking the qb on ESPN in a different uniform in two years. I'd rather see if he can overcome his demons while on a cheap rookie deal than let him get it together somewhere else and that was my point.

In three years?

Way to understand how science works.

And again, genetic relationships do support physiological causes.
