No, that kind of is the point.

Perhaps if Natalies Mother or Father had met the creep in person, or if they had a chance to talk with him or spend time with him, .. one or both of them may have had a bad gut feeling about him. Just something that one of them may have thought odd, and didn't feel was right about him.

Parents have that knack, especially a mother.

Or if she had had a parents curfew she may have been out of harms way by being expected to be in at a decent hour.

Instead she went with someone that neither parent had approved of, and was out later than either parent would have approved of either.

Good parenting is protecting your child from the hot stove, or a dangerous cliff, or tall grass or wood pile where snakes could be, ... or maybe a guy that seems like fun, but ultimately put her is a very bad situation.

Parents are forever trying to keep trouble from a child's life, or keep them out of harm's way. No matter how old they are.

I think it's true that you can not judge a book by it's cover but then again, an exposed wire could be live and send 120 volts at the touch or, it could be cold and pose no threat at all. However, you really don't know that until you touch it. I don't think you can really fault a parent for taking measure to ensure that their child doesn't learn the hard way. They are the best judge of those kinds of situations.

Moral or the story, you cannot judge a book by its cover. Trick basically says he does.

See this is CCF in his normal mode...

Hadn't commented on anything CCF has posted in years. The other day he said no one cares about flight 370 and I commented the families probably do...

Since then it has been one negative post from CCF after another. He's a lawyer and smarter than the rest of us.

If you don't have a slight bit of intuition in regards to who your kids hang around with or even care, then that's too bad for you...

I saw that as just responding directly to another poster, .. that had called him out "by name" in a previous post, .. and then closed it with his last sentence addressing everything to do with this entire thread.

about time you admitted it

remember though, you were the one who told the world about how you control your daughter and her dates, the fact Boyer and I did not buy it does not change that

btw, I said no one on this board cares about Flight 370, you wrote something to the effect that a poster on this board MIGHT know someone on the plane (even though that is highly unlikely given no one stated it for what 35 days).

I think it is silly to judge someone by the way they wear their hat, if they say "yo" to you etc. That is judging a book by its cover, you know it and I know it.

you make out like being pregnant is somehow evidence of bad behaviour as well

say two guys want to date your daughter, one is a good clean cut tall white guy, blonde hair, blue eyes, good shape, well spoken etc

the other has dreads, sounds like a thug, big mouth etc

Who would you rather she date?

Now if I added that the former is Roethlisberger and the latter Richard Sherman, would that change what you think?
