No charges for carrying an AK? Doesn't that sound a bit strange.
If the AK-47 was not full auto capable then no...It's just a riffle.

The officer didn't even know for sure why it was suspended. She said it could have been the amount of infractions or it could have been not paying for one of the infractions. So I wonder if it was in doubt that he'd been informed.

That's a good point. I recently found out my license had been suspended for the last few month because a county thought I hadn't paid a speeding ticket. Once I fixed that it was reinstated without charge but if I had been stopped in that time frame I'd have possibly been carted to jail and my vehicle towed although they don't have to do that.

People seem to want to hate too much and think that an arrest is the same as being found guilty for something.

This appears to be a low risk high yield possibility.

He was going 31 miles over the limit past midnight. To paraphrase Bill Cosby, nothing good has happened while going 31 miles over the limit after midnight.
I did that more times than I can count when I was his age. If the guns weren't in the car I doubt anyone would even blink at this, and again they were legal.

And he didn't just 'get' in a car with a suspended license. He got in the car and drove, which is very illegal as well as stupid.

And I said as such. But again, I think a lack of common sense is a bit different than the serial screw up that is Pacman or the like.

Something tells me that not one of the posters complaining have even seen the kid play.

If they have seen him play then you'd know why Dallas signed him.

Nobody has a perfect life all of the time. Not defending Geralds' bad decision in the least, he's knows that he's on a short leash. May see a suspension.

Could you explain difference between a dumb kid and a thug/criminal?
A thug to me is a habitual law-breaker, a person who comes off as someone who is above the law. People who get off on intimidating the average person, threatening or abusive towards basic humanity, basically a bully with a criminal record.

Thugs can be businesspeople as far as I am concerned. Many police officers are thugs as far as I am concerned as well, no disrespect to the good ones.

A dumb kid is someone who doesn't properly prepare for the future. Makes typical mistakes based on natural inexperience. Sometimes doesn't say the right thing, do the right thing, but at least they have enough common sense to not be a basic menace, and or threat to society.

I was a thug in my mid-teens, I was a dumb kid in my early 20's, and now I am just a horny old man.

No ****!!! Driving on a suspended license, you think they would invoke the death penalty for this kinda crap.
Maybe we should remove it from the law books, but until then, it's still a crime.

What a fool Jerry is.

He removes a dynamic talent from this team because the guy insults a week-minded QB, but brings in a habitual criminal.

The Circus is in town, and Jerry and his followers are the Clowns.

Clove you're the fool.
Why am I the fool?

Jerry cuts one of the best talents on the team because he insults his poor little QB and Coordinator, he's supposed to be cleaning out the locker room.

So he brings in a habitual criminal.

The circus is in town, and Jerry is a clown.

Why is it crying if it obviously does not make any sense.

The guy can't stay out of trouble, obviously in the Cowboys world, as long as you are popular, you can be a criminal and be a Cowboy, according to Jerry and his followers.

As long as you smile and never tell the truth, the fans will love you even though you can't complete 1 game without completing an interception, or 2 or 3.

Cause he's young, black and in an expensive car, obviously.

Doesn't help that they found something, but that's probably your reason.

I dunno about that, Count... I think if racial profiling was the culprit here, the arresting officer wouldn't have let Sensabaugh finish his haircut before taking him in...

Don't get me wrong, I know that kind of thing goes on a lot, but the way this story reads, it doesn't seem like one of those situations... a police officer will naturally get suspicious of somebody riding around in a very expensive car in a very poor part of town...

As anyone considered that maybe he just had these guns in his car to be prepared for any impending zombie apocalypse? You've seen the films, don't tell me that you don't want to be packing for when the dead walk the earth.

That's precisely why I carry a flamethrower in my trunk... there's not much better against zombies than a good, old fashioned flamethrower...

If you can get past the smell of those zombies cooking... that's pretty nasty...

Another criminal.
Great.

A criminal who has never been charged with a felony, let alone convicted of one...

And another noob makes a strong first impression, LOL...

Tony definitely has to cut down on the turnovers. though if he coulda trusted your favorite player who just got cut to fight for the ball or not stop on his routes it wouldn't happen so much.

Considering it was a small town,

Don't know where y'all got the notion that Kingsport is a small town, it's got 45,000 people...

the case really kind of stinks of jealousy and profiling

Oh, please... if that was the case, do you think that "jealous" cop would let Gerald finish his haircut before taking him in??

The reality is much simpler, you had a VERY expensive car, tooling around in a very poor area of town... this is the sort of thing that is out of place, normally, and I think most police officers would investigate it... a lot of times when you see that, it's some yuppie kids looking to score some dope...

In most cases, it's for the occasional deer or other game creature, but make no mistake, it's also about the confidence to cuss out people who piss you off in traffic.

If you carry a gun in your car for that reason, and it's not legally registered, you DEFINITELY belong in jail...

Either that, or you need some serious psychological counseling... I know I've never felt the need to drive around with a gun in my car...

Trying to compare a 1st ballot HOFr to a 1 year wonder is a terrible thing to do.
