Gerald Sensabaugh to sign 1-yr deal *merged*

Is there any way you can copy and paste the dialogue here? I am unable to access it from my work computer.

One link was to a thread after a game in December. The Jaguars' fans were extremely complimentary of him in that thread. Some said he was becoming one of the better strong safeties in the NFL, that he was "a glue guy for the team," "a very smart and mature player," "young, athletic, and willing to give it his all," their "2nd best player on Defense all year" and someone they had to re-sign this offseason.

The second link was to a thread after he was arrested a few weeks ago for driving with a suspended license. Most fans figured then that he wouldn't be resigned, although some said his off-field problems were minor and could make it easier for the Jaguars to re-sign him.

Did anyone notice he's from the same neck of the woods as Witten? Kingsport, TN is a stones throw from Elizabethton. I wonder if Jason would take him under his wing and educate him on not to make the same mistakes...
:welcome: to the CowboysZone!!!!!!!

The good News about his incidents is that there were no drugs involved and they were afterall misdemeanors.

That said, will he be suspended by the NFL in 09' for his latest "brush with the Law".

Thanks for the summary.

Yea, I'd say I'm still happy with this move. The important thing is we haven't made a long-term committment in a situation where were it not for his off-the-field issues we would have likely had to spend more than we have available in cap room. Good job on Dallas' part not allowing him to leave the city before putting ink on a contract. Given the mantra of this offseason for Jerry Jones, I'm pretty sure Gerald already understands the short-leash he is on as A Dallas Cowboy with his reputation and the lime-light he has just invited. Of course, I said the same thing about Pacman, but, then again, I'm still not sure I'm glad we released him. Say what you want, he was one of our best in coverage last year and that incident in the bathroom hardly warranted cutting him.

Suspicious of a Bentley in the vicinity of Kingsport’s public housing,

I posted a short article from the local area up a few post. The reason he was in the area was to get a hair cut.

*I'm sure the officer already knew that the Bentley was Sensabaugh's, he's a local and its a small enough town(44,000)

Sounds logical to me. Was just asking. Thanks for the explanation.

One thing is for sure, if he gets in trouble as a Cowboy, it won't fly under the radar like those other incidents. Google won't be necessary. It will be everywhere.

best i remember the goose Gosselin, had good things to say about him, or it was norm on theticket. One of them thought highly of him.

also, you have to remember, whom was the secondary coach in jacksonville?

coach campo, so campo ought to know more about him, and i figure that campo knew about the arrests too, so he had to pass that onto the cowboys staff at least he should have

yep you can be sure to bet a ton of money that the media if sensabaugh gets in trouble, the media will talk about it and label it on the cowboys for choosing him

No charges for carrying an AK? Doesn't that sound a bit strange.

Depending on where you live (and the type of weapon depending on where you live), having a gun is not a crime as long as it's not concealed. We do still have the right to bear arms, although I'm afraid that's in peril.

Bad blurb about him:

On Friday, Jacksonville Jaguars safety Gerald Sensabaugh Jr., a Kingsport native, was arrested for driving on a suspended license. At about 1:41 p.m., Kingsport Police Officer Amanda Lunsford said she saw a black Bentley drive west on Center Street, turn onto Dale Street and circle the block. She then checked Sensabaugh's driver license and discovered he'd been suspended for "multiple violations" and failure to satisfy a citation. Sensabaugh was also found with three weapons in the car one of which was an AK-47. Sensabaugh was not charged for having the weapons in his vehicle.

It's already started with Pro Football Talk having the headline "Cowboys Cuff Sensabaugh".

I know that, but I thought an AK-47 might be a bit different. I'm not big on guns myself, but I do believe in the right to bear arms.

Why are they running his plates just for circling around the block....

Cause he's young, black and in an expensive car, obviously.

Doesn't help that they found something, but that's probably your reason.

Since Jerry released all his projects, he had to give him SOME work.
