Every cop, security guard and team official in my section at AT&T carries one. Not sure why you'd be surprised they'd have them at MetLife, too.

Give it up already.

The backup qb generally has one to listen to the calls. I expect that is what McAdoo grabbed

No, silly. Just pointing out that no had to go to Radio Shack as you so absurdly suggested above,

Why do you care so much that the Giants violated a rule attempting to have what the Cowboys already did (communication with the sidelines)? They were punished fairly.

You act like they stole a game plan or surreptitiously recorded a Cowboy practice.

Trust me, neither Garrett or Jones gave a damn about the impact on the game.

The one underlining in all this is they have shown all their Aces and a Joker(walkie talkie) at us. They have nothing sneaky to latch onto in January. They have to play fair and square in our house with a fully healthy Church and the return of Mo, Wilcox and Gregory. Also may factor in Irving's deserved additional reps.

It was five plays, folks. With a QB who almost always audibles anyway. It made exactly zero difference in a game where we were thoroughly shut down on offense all night. This penalty was more than fair IMO -- maybe even a bit harsh.
Giants fan detected. I'm onto you.

No, just a somewhat-objective observer. Every fact in my post is true, no? And not sure why anyone would think it unreasonable to conclude that the penalty was appropriate (even if they didn't agree). Heck, this board expected Goodell to let Mara walk . .

I love this place, but the worst part about it by far is the ridiculous Cowboy-colored glasses that too many of us see everything through. Brings down the football IQ on here substantially.

For something that was done for five plays, I see no issue with the punishment.

Nah...your post just triggered me to do a quick query of your 30-something posts. What I found was revealing. Evidence was collected and backed-up. Military Tribunals are in your future.

Haha funny. I will watch my back. But I defy you to find a non-defensible, unreasonable assertion in anything I've ever written here.

They did something far worse than the Browns did in 2014 and the Browns had a pick taken away. A lot of people including people who cover the NFL have reported that this is not consistent and it is not. Most people just want Gooddell to be fair and consistent and he is not in this situation. He has not been consistent at all. The Giants punter gets a 1 game suspension for domestic violence against his wife in which he did it several times according to police report. Yet other players get 6, 10 games suspension. There is no consistency with the Gooddell. That is not rose color glasses. That are just the facts that can not be disputed.

The NFL is trying to force them into drafting their own Dak Prescott.

Seems like we're killing a fly with a hammer here.

Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. I respect but disagree with yours. I will note that, as I understand it, the police reports regarding Josh Brown were not available to either the Giants or the league at the time the suspension was handed down, since the local authorities would not release them. Once that information became public, he was suspended for the year, and cut.

Actually the NFL rule has a provision that if communication goes out on one sideline the league cuts off the other side.

There is almost no chance the Giants staff doesn't know these rules. I don't think it's a huge thing, nor do I think it was planned, but cheating is cheating and they got punishment. It's less than I think they should get, but way more than I thought Goodell would ever levy against his buddy.

I see teams like the Pats studying this and planning communication issues in case they are needed. If you're fighting for the bye or the last playoff spot, a few $$ and 10 draft spots is a cheap price for a slight advantage in a game decided by such slim margins.

You are right and that everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect yours. I just think we as Americans expect fairness in everything we do especially in sports. I don't think many see the fairness in the consequence of what the Giants did compare to other teams with their infractions.

What a joke ruling, the fine is nothing when you are making millions and moving the draft pick is laughable as well. With the Giants in the playoffs, we are talking maybe 10 spots at the worst?

Just what a figured, a slap on the wrist for Mara and the Gmen.

95% of your postings are in Giant's related threads and all of it is clearly biased for your true-blue boys. Nothing wrong with an opposing fan from another team on this board.. but just come out of the closet already.:D

The mutual cutoff provision does not apply to this scenario (sideline to field communications -- if you lose those, tough luck). It applies only to sideline to press box communications -- when one team loses those, the other does too until the problem is resolved.
