No he can't. New CBA prohibits hold outs. I believe this is the last year a player can hold out.
Easy for you to say. It isn't your money.
The deadline past
ok did not know that. I thought that was in place to prevent 5th year options from holding out. Did not know it applied to this also.
No . Dak is not an elite QB . His value is around 25 mil .
Even better- give Dak to KC and let them do it.
I believe it's any player next year. The players had to give that up to be able to smoke weed without and fines or suspensions.
If you do not see the difference between Mahomes and Dak...then YOU put up the money yourself. Since you are such a big tough smart guy.
Show us the trophy Dak heroically earned. Oh no wait Mahomes just drove the bus. Okay.....still YOU pay up since you want him so grandly paid.
Oh you can;t. Lol. Rich.
They can ALWAYS "hold out" . Go get a job at McDonalds if they think they are such awesome workers.
Still not sure why this topic keeps coming up? The FO and MM have spoken very clear through their actions.
This debate is over, he’s not wanted long term. Time to move onward and Upword
Dak doesn't want a Mahomes deal. He wanted a shorter one. The Cowboys were the ones who wanted more years.
And never be in competition again.
..that's the unfair conundrum towards Dak. Mahomes is only 24 and SB win. Hard fact staring in the mirror.
It still blows me away after two years of reporting and every other thread on here about Dakscontract that people still don't understand it.
Daks top 12. If he was offered 35 per and over 110gtd that was plenty.
A contract structured like the Mahomes contract, sure. Just less.
He had to already know this. The last year is usually restructured to accommodate an extension. I assumed he just wanted it a year earlier.
It's not prohibited. The penalties make it harder to do. I think players don't get an accrued season if they don't show up for camp by the deadline. Fines are also not forgiven. But they can still hold out. That's the last I heard. They keep revising the CBA so I don't know if anything changed.
