I'm down. But I don't think Lance will help any with the ugly play designs and bland, predictable play calling.
If seeing Purdy deliver the ball to his recievers in stride tonight, vs our recievers having to adjust in some manner to catch the ball, didn't convince you Dak is the problem I don't know what you were watching...

What you have to lose is the same thing the 49ers did to Lance. Pushing him into a starting job too early and ruining him.

If the Cowboys got Lance to eventually play him as a starter, and that is very possibly in their thinking, there's no reason at all to look at 2024/25 as when you forsee him making that move.

Prescott hasn't been extended, and yes, if he continues week in and out to do what he did tonight, the Cowboys can get salary cap relief by making him a June 1st cut in 2024 and potentially bringing in a veteran that someone like Lance can start to work his way in behind after a full offseason.

If you're going to abandon Prescott in week 5 of this season it's better to play Rush and leverage a better draft position than make the mistake San Francisco did and try to throw him to the wolves.

Just said I was down. I'm just saying we have more offensive problems on offense than just Dak. Dak was atrocious and McCarthy's hodge podge game plan looked to me like it was put together this morning at breakfast.

We wont be in position to. Dak will keep us in mediocrity hell. We will end up like 9-8, 10-7 and have a late round draft pick. If Trey is terrible, we can have a top-10 pick
Our defense will still beat up on mediocre offenses and keep us above .500 regardless who the QB is IMO.

Meh, i dont see what you guys see in him.
Much rather see rush instead

Rush is what he is. A QB with an arm that rivals Jay Fiedler or Pennington post surgery.

Lance is raw and may always stay raw. But the potential is there. Now may he actually live up to his draft pick? Doubtful, but if the season is looking meh, I rather see the 23 year old QB out there than a career backup in Rush.
Especially when next offseason the team will have to decide to decline or accept his 5th year option.

At least he gets it out quicker and hits people in stride.
Throwing lance out there with no offseason doesnt sound great

1. True.
2. Maybe not, but I think it'll be more about not knowing the playbook vs more about finding out about his mental makeup/poise out there. Is there clay worth molding there or were the 49ers right to cut bait so early?
