Letting Trey Lance get destroyed this season is absolutely asinine.
True, but thats still better than what were getting nowWe have seen Rush. He is a reliable backup at best.
Yes, please, play Lance against the Eagles so he can get killed and exposed for the trash he is...which is why San Fran got rid of him. What do we have to lose at this point? This team is going nowhere so we might as well let him develop.
Theres no upside with Coop. He doesnt have the talent.I rather see Cooper first, he's a quick processor
1. True.
2. Maybe not, but I think it'll be more about not knowing the playbook vs more about finding out about his mental makeup/poise out there. Is there clay worth molding there or were the 49ers right to cut bait so early?

I was at the game. There was a bunch of "we want Trey" chants. What do we have to lose at this point? This team is going nowhere so we might as well let him develop.

I don't think they traded for Lance to not use him. This game showed them that Dak is not fit to run the West Coast Offense...he should be benched or traded for another arm who can throw inbounds down the sideline and hit TEs in the flat when they are wide open...I think you could make lance work in this offfense. I really do.
Btw 49ers fans even admit he isn’t a bust yet cause he hasn’t played enough to fail. He had his ups and downs but was hurt some.
Watching him I see some good things… he’s mobile and has a hell of an arm. Why not see what he has. Dak gets paid 40 mil a year he’ll get over it
Trey Lance is a lesser version of Justin Fields at this point, but I get the Dak fatigue. What do we have to lose at this point? This team is going nowhere so we might as well let him develop.
I have been saying this for 8 years nowIf seeing Purdy deliver the ball to his recievers in stride tonight, vs our recievers having to adjust in some manner to catch the ball, didn't convince you Dak is the problem I don't know what you were watching...
Might even surprise us and be competitive . . . I know Rush would be with all these weapons . . . He got Noah paidDeveloping Lance now is better than the same old ending that we see every year with Dak.
They should seriously think about it.
This team wins with Rush so the Draft position thing goes out the window . . . But i agree with everything elseWhat you have to lose is the same thing the 49ers did to Lance. Pushing him into a starting job too early and ruining him.
If the Cowboys got Lance to eventually play him as a starter, and that is very possibly in their thinking, there's no reason at all to look at 2024/25 as when you forsee him making that move.
Prescott hasn't been extended, and yes, if he continues week in and out to do what he did tonight, the Cowboys can get salary cap relief by making him a June 1st cut in 2024 and potentially bringing in a veteran that someone like Lance can start to work his way in behind after a full offseason.
If you're going to abandon Prescott in week 5 of this season it's better to play Rush and leverage a better draft position than make the mistake San Francisco did and try to throw him to the wolves.
The game plan is a direct effect of having Dak as the QBJust said I was down. I'm just saying we have more offensive problems on offense than just Dak. Dak was atrocious and McCarthy's hodge podge game plan looked to me like it was put together this morning at breakfast.
Romo got to sit and learn the offense for 3 years before getting a chance to play. Lance just got here a month ago and you want him to start? Come on Man.Theres no upside with Coop. He doesnt have the talent.
Trey could be another Romo situation (Raw QB coming out of college that got to sit and develop)
