I want to give him a chance but it concerns me that he couldn't take that job with all those weapons with the 9ers. How he didn't make it there or at least make the back up spot.

Better off going all in on a top QB even trading away a top player and picks to do it. This isn’t going to get better.

Agree 100%. Spend the next 3-4 weeks getting him ready to play and then give him a shot. Nothing to lose at this point. Maybe they strike gold. This team as is, isn't going anywhere.

3-2 in a weak nfc....not 1-4...

Better than middle but not top tier....a lot to lose
There is nothing to lose. Dak isn't getting us past the niners. It is known. Time to go with the unknown. Coop or Lance, don't care which. Hoping that some light bulb is going to go off for Dak in year 8 is nothing but a waste of time.

One thing that is good about last night’s loss is Lance didn’t lose his job because he couldn’t play. Purdy is one of the top quarterbacks in the league. San Francisco had to move on from Trey. No doubt about it.

He can't read a defense to save this life. He will resort to tucking the ball and running. Fresh hamburger meat for linebackers.
So he just like Dak. Can’t read a defence. The kid had what 8 starts. How many had Dak started. I really think go with Lance see what he is. Daks never going to be the answer

I’m all for giving Lance a shot but JJ will not allow that to happen because Dak still makes money for the Cowboys.

As long as that continues, Dak’s status as a starting QB is safe.

It’s because Dak is on the Cowboys, he makes money. Not the other way around.

The argument that "you won't find anyone better than Dak" is ridiculous and went out the window when Cooper Rush was able to go 5-1 as a starter, including beating a few playoff teams. If a QB with limited experience and limited skills like Cooper Rush can start and manage the game to win, just imagine what a QB with better talent and potential than Dak can do. It's time to stop being scared of the unknown and take a chance on finding the next Cowboys QB...whether it's Lance or a future draft pick.

LOL and there it is, the calls for Lance. Right on schedule as Pappy predicted. Week 5.

What do we have to lose at this point? This team is going nowhere so we might as well let him develop.
No don't. That is just silly. He is not ready. Give him the year on the bench. If you are playing somebody else it should be Rush.

so why wasn't he QB2? Is lost out to Purdy and Darnold.

i agree, it's the best decision going forward. Run him like Philadelphia does with their QB, and see what he's got. At the worst at least we get a higher 1st round draft pick.
