I haven't asked all year. Too fun not to ask now. Who are your best 5 and worst 5 in the NFL?

1. Seahawks. They are the Champs and beat Denver again. Gotta give them the respect they deserve.

2. Broncos. I still think they are the team to beat in the AFC.

3. Chargers. The team that might be able to is in their Division.

4. Cowboys. That's right, and when we beat number 1, we're going up while they come down.

5. Cardinals. They are for real. Pains me to say it.

28. Buccaneers. Lovie inherited junk. Don't think they will stay here next year, but this year pew.

29. Commanders. 7 of the last 9 years they have been the worst team in the NFC East. Make it 8 of 10 this year.

30. Jets. Vick can't save them. Geno can't save them. A lifeguard can't save them.

31. Jaguars. I think they will be better with Bortles, still not good.

32. Raiders. I don't think Dennis Allen was the problem.

Good rankings as of right now, nothing I would argu with

If we beat Seattle I think we should be in the top two. Lose to Seattle and we are probably 8-10 range

The Bengals should be getting more love, in my view. Prior to this past weekend they'd arguably been the most impressive team in the league this year.

Top 5
Seattle
Denver
San Diego
Arizona
San Fran

Bottom 5
Rams
Titans
Jets
Raiders
Jaguars

*Sidenote (Can't put Dallas in top 5 yet, they impressed with that Saints win, but 2 of their wins came against bottom feeders, need to see more)

I don't care about the bottom five, so here's my top-ten...

1. San Diego - To be the man you gotta beat the man. They beat the man.
2. Seattle - The man got beat.
3. Denver - Peyton Manning + defense.

Agree with your top 3. Probably a 4 way tie for 4th with Eagles, Colts, Niners and Cowboys. And 2 way tie for 5th (Cards & Bengals). 6th week will separate pretenders from contenders.

Don't get me wrong, I'm loving this 4-1 record and the improvements I'm seeing, I just still have my doubts sometimes about the defense when they have those moments like they had in the 4th quarter on Sunday.

A few minutes almost erases a great day's work.

This is what has me concerned.

Yes, we are all excited and fired up to win Sunday and be 4-1 !!

But we blew a 10 point lead in the fourth quarter, and lost the coin flip in OT.
That game could have very easily gone the other way, and ended up the way we have seen many end up in recent years.

We should have closed the game out when we got the ball back, up 7, with 2 1/2 minutes left in regulation.
That is what we have to figure out how to do.

But it is week to week in the NFL, one win at a time.
Now we have the huge task of beating the seahags in Seattle.

I predict we will shut someone out this year at some point. Just a feeling I've got. Likely doesn't happen until we get a couple of key pieces back.

One of our NFC East opponents would be my guess. I would like to see us hold a team or two touchdown-less, even if not shut out, though. Round victories where we only give up FGs.

Exactly right.

And that's not in any way to detract from the win, but the truth is, the past game - a game in which we dominated in most, if not all areas - could have gone the other way.

A win is a win, but it's definitely something that needs to be worked on, improved upon, and cleaned up before it actually does cost us a game this year.

The optimist in me wants to point to past games we did give away and consider this improvement. and the pessimist says we were lucky and got away with one.

1. Seattle - Still the top dog. Yes they lost but not every top team can go 16-0
2. Denver - They are a good team and Peyton makes them even better. Plus they made improvements during offseason.
3. San Diego - They beat Seattle. But this team is on a roll. They also have Rivers who is playing awesome.
4. Dallas - Having an elite runner like Murray to an already potent offense needs to be ranked highly. Plus defense is improving under Marinelli.
5. San Francisco - This is a playoff team thats young and talented. If they can get their mojo back they can give Seattle a run for their money.

Bottom 5:

1. Washington
2. NY Jets
3. Tampa Bay
4. Jacksonville
5. Oakland

Especially when the team is performing well.
Even when they aren't. I cannot disparage something I love. I have never understood that. I hated Campo, but I never had a sig or av of him. I did have a sig against Q one time, for a very short time, and I regretted it.

I had us at about 6.

I think it's disrespectful to put us ahead of Greenbay, and the Colts.

Some can do it and not regret it.

A couple of times when we were real bad, .. I have used an avatar of a Cowboys helmet with an ice bag on it, .. as if the Cowboys had a headache.

I didn't regret it, .. but I haven't used it very often or for very long.

It was sort of a "tongue in cheek" joke. It implied that, "I'm still a Cowboys fan, .. but I know that we are struggling."

1: San Diego. What they're doing with all those injuries is incredible.
2: Seattle. Team to beat in the NFC.
3: Denver. Anything Manning is involved with is good.
4: Cardinals. Bruce Arians = coach of the century.
5: Cowboys. #beatseattle2014.

28: Buccaneers. Crap.
29: Commanders. Crappier.
30: Jets. Craptastic.
31: Raiders. Even crappier.
32: Jaguars. Crappiest.

Outside of the top 3, you could probably put 5 teams in that 4th and 5th spot.

Dallas should be ranked around 8-9 at this point, you guys are homering out on me.

Looking @ Dallas as a top 10 Team is improvement almost beyond belief. Need top 10 to soak in awhile before vaulting them to top 5.
