Give Me Your Fives

Some can do it and not regret it.

A couple of times when we were real bad, .. I have used an avatar of a Cowboys helmet with an ice bag on it, .. as if the Cowboys had a headache.

I didn't regret it, .. but I haven't used it very often or for very long.

It was sort of a "tongue in cheek" joke. It implied that, "I'm still a Cowboys fan, .. but I know that we are struggling."
That one doesn't seem so bad. Mine was an animated .gif of a football that turned into Daffy Duck.

I've also had some that disparaged the team when I lost bets. other than that, I just do not enjoy portraying that image when this is a team I genuinely love. I just can't do it.

I hear ya, .. and I agree.
No, mine wasn't so bad.

I would love to alter your Sig Pic with, .. "Smart West Virginians Love the Cowboys" and put it in as my Sig Pic.

Broncos - feeling it's their year.
1. Chargers - statistically a dominating team that dominated Seattle

2. Seattle - I don't think I need to say much here.

3. Denver - I think they are a solid team overall without Peyton, but Peyton makes them a possible 12 win team.

4. Green Bay - They have Aaron Rodgers and are currently #2 in QB Rating allowed.

5. NY Giants - For right now. 3rd in QB rating allowed, offense is starting to gel

YR

Giants scare me.

Where was all this top 5 love, when I said the Cows were one draft away from contending and they would finish 11-5 this season?

Frozen and beast from the yeast had zero confidence in this group.

Ok, here is mine:

Top 5

1. Seattle - I know SD beat them, but that was in SD. In Seattle I think SD has no chance and on neutral field I would say Seattle wins 8 of 10 hd to hd.
2. San Diego - Solid defense and a high powered offense. Rivers can carry a team for long stretches when he is hot, and he is smoking right now.
3. Denver - Simply the toughest player to beat...I don't think there talent is as good as some other teams, but Manning makes them all a little better.
4. Dallas - The offense really hasn't been stopped yet...only lapses have been their own. Defense making timely plays.
5. Colts - Luck is so incredibly similar to Manning to me...just gets the best out of those around him.

I have seen Green Bay mentioned by many and they have had two good games, but they got hammered by Seattle and by Detroit. I'd probably put Detroit ahead of them. Some mentioned Cincinnati but they look like the same team to me that continuously falls just a little short. Philly's offense has not been as good as a year ago and their defense is bad. Arizona has QB issues still and they are pieced together with a ton of injuries....I just think they are going to breakdown if they don't get some help.

Bottom 5

28. Jets - horrible offense, mediocre defense, horrible personnel moves. Only saving grace is they still play hard.
29. Bucs - might be turning the corner a little. Glennon is a better QB than McCown. Play in weak division.
30. Titans - Injuries to QB have been their bugaboo. Decent defense, but just can't overcome shoddy offense
31. Raiders - Rookie Qb leading a bad roster spells disaster. Never seen as many players openly criticize team.
32. Jags - Complete rebuild needed. Bortles is a good starting spot but they really are limited in talent.

Just missed....St Louis. I know the Bradford injury hurts. Missing Chris Long too, but there is a fair amount of talent and it seems like Fisher is not getting the most out of it.

Go ahead. I need to find something to rip the Seahawks anyway.

New Top 5

1. Chargers
2. Broncos
3. Cards
4. Eagles
5. Cowboys

I thought about putting Cowboys 3 or even 2. I think I will be able to in a few weeks...

How are the eagles above the Cowboys?...we just had an impressive win against the defending champs and they beat the giants.

They haven't impressed me at all. They needed the refs to hand them a win vs. Indy.

Just my 2 cents...
I thought 27-0 vs a team that just won 3 in a row convincingly was somewhat impressive.
They go to AZ after their bye week, so I guess we'll get a better gauge then.

There is no evidence to suggest that the Eagles are better than the Cowboys right now. I respect waiting to crown them until after they play, but the Cowboys have a better offense by far. The only thing I guess you could say is that their ST and Defense can score points, but that's hardly a recipe for long success.

Seriously Joe? Its a travesty to place the Cowboys any lower than 3 right now and definitely higher than the iggles.

I'm not one to really gloat and say we are better than this team/that team, but I think if we played Philly tomorrow we crush them. Remember we were the only defense to shut them down last year and that was with Kiff. I've seen quite a few of there games this season and they seem finesse. Too bad we won't find out until December!

At the moment, Cowboys opponents have a combined 14-17 record, while Eagles opponents are 12-21 overall.

Cowboys are 2-1 versus the NFC West, 2-0 versus the AFC South, and 1-0 versus the NFC South. Eagles are 2-0 versus both the AFC South and NFC East, but 1-1 versus the NFC West.

Using their current standings, Cowboys has beaten three out of four 2nd place divisional teams (Texans, Saints, Seahawks), one 3rd place divisional team (Titans), and one 4th place divisional team (Rams). The Eagles have beaten one 1st place divisional team (Colts), one 3rd place divisional team (Giants), and three 4th place divisional teams (Jaguars, Washington, Rams). Both teams lost to the 2nd place 49ers. Of course, Tony Romo was a shell of the quarterback who played in Week One compared to now...

What does this all mean? Who knows? All I know is that I'm not scared of the Eagles.

Today I would say
1 Den
2 SD
3 Dal
4 Arz
5 Philly

what will it be after next week or 3 weeks from now who knows but as BP says you are what your record says you are. Dallas did not just beat Seahawks they dominated them despite some turnovers, despite falling behind early and despite playing at their house where they were 18-1.

Who are the Eagles? From what I have been hearing from the players is the next team up is "nameless and faceless".

I doubt that the Cowboys have even thought about the Giants game until today. They probably have no idea or concern what the Giants have been doing. From what I have seen, the players are concerned about themselves and how they execute.
