top 5:
1. Denver. lost only on road in SEA in OT. Home wins over ARIZ, Indy, KC.
2. DAL. Road win in SEA best win of anyone yet. Hottest team in football.
3. SD. Best win is home win over SEA. Soft after that.
4. PHI. Best win is at Indy but tough to pick a 2nd best win. Played 3 of my bottom 5 teams.
5. SEA. Two losses already and by same game plan so they could be in trouble unless they figure out how to be more explosive on offense.

worst 5:
5. Washington. Missing RG3 badly now after the fan base was glad he went down which tells you all you need to know.
4. STL. Decent coach with only mediocre talent when healthy that isn't healthy.
3. OAK. They've been bad forever it seems. Eventually should hit on a top pick somewhere right? Maybe it's Carr. That team needs to move to LA and start over fresh.
2. Jacksonville. They have some hope for the future in Bortles but they are really bad right now. Owner doesn't wanna sign any free agents.
1. Tampa Bay. Lovie should have stayed retired before taking over that roster. That's a major rebuilding job.

btw, if Palmer and Ellington were healthy I'd have Arizona top 5 over SEA.
But those injuries and the 20 point loss to Denver has them just outside the top 5 for me.

Who are the Eagles? From what I have been hearing from the players is the next team up is "nameless and faceless".

I doubt that the Cowboys have even thought about the Giants game until today. They probably have no idea or concern what the Giants have been doing. From what I have seen, the players are concerned about themselves and how they execute.
I have little doubt Garrett will have his team completely zeroed into New York. His team knows it is capable of winning tough games.

Seattle was as (mentally) close to a NFC East divisional game simulation as can get. The offense (Romo, Murray) is healthy. The defense (Crawford, R. McClain) is strutting. Dan Bailey is (cha-CHING!) money. The Giants will try to compensate for the loss of Cruz. Washington does not have an identity right now. And the Eagles are a Chip Kelly offensive machine malfunction away from losing to the Cardinals, Packers, and us in their next six games. The division and overall record are there for the taking. Right now, the Eagles are the primary obstacle, but they are not a daunting one.

I thought about putting Cowboys 3 or even 2. I think I will be able to in a few weeks...

If only they could have a "home" game for once. Playing on the rode all the time has to wear them out.

Not having a "home" game has worked so far. Personally, I find myself thanking our fellow re-selling ticket fans, even though I did not feel that way attending the 49er game surrounded by San Francisco fans. Some wished to make a statement to Jerry Jones. In my opinion, they pissed off the players instead and they are using the diss as fuel. If true, I say let the re-selling tickets travesty process continue. Heck. I may end up going to another game this season and not even care that the re-sold ticket has exploded to four times its face value, lol.

This actually makes sense! lol

Learning that silent snap count at AT&T because of the fans helped them with the win at SEA. Well, Freadbeard almost lost the game with that miss snap. But it was not that loud at SEA. Most of the time those 12 people were sitting on their butts wondering, what is going on here!

I haven't asked all year. Too fun not to ask now. Who are your best 5 and worst 5 in the NFL?

1. Seahawks. They are the Champs and beat Denver again. Gotta give them the respect they deserve.

2. Broncos. I still think they are the team to beat in the AFC.

3. Chargers. The team that might be able to is in their Division.

4. Cowboys. That's right, and when we beat number 1, we're going up while they come down.

5. Cardinals. They are for real. Pains me to say it.

28. Buccaneers. Lovie inherited junk. Don't think they will stay here next year, but this year pew.

29. Commanders. 7 of the last 9 years they have been the worst team in the NFC East. Make it 8 of 10 this year.

30. Jets. Vick can't save them. Geno can't save them. A lifeguard can't save them.

31. Jaguars. I think they will be better with Bortles, still not good.

32. Raiders. I don't think Dennis Allen was the problem.

Good call Hos, now Ya gotta go do some pruning to yer list!!

1. Denver- the best offense in the league and will more and likely represent the AFC in the Superbowl. Despite the OT loss in Seattle they managed to have improved the defense which may make a big difference in February.

2. Dalllas- we beat dominated two teams who would've been projected as top five teams at this point. Dallas has a RB that is on pace to break the single sesson rushing record, two play makers at WR, an all around TE, a dominate Oline who will only get stronger. On top of that they will have a defense that is playing with a high level of aggression and confidence.

3. SD- they may have initiated the blue print to beating Seattle. This team is finding ways to win and is quietly making it's mark in the AFC. They will challenge Denver for the division or get in as a 5th seed.

4. Seattle- despite two losses they have a formidable offense that can produce points if they go back to running the ball more. I believe Murray had more carries yesterday than Lynch had in the last two games. Their defense is a force to be reckoned with and I see them bouncing back into the mix of things.

5. SF- I debated between SF and Indy, but chose SF because they have key pieces missing on defense that will make their way back. They have given two teams their only loss and they will be contending for the NFC for the 4th straight year.

1) Denver- consistently executing offensive team. Best test will be next week vs SF
2) San Fran- finding their groove and will get their best defensive players back soon
3) Philly- finding ways to win games, have they found a defense? Good performance vs NYG
4) Dallas- Process complete? Dominant O-Line and blossoming defense has their confidence soaring
5) Seattle- The champs have plenty of time left to soul-search after the pounding Dallas handed them

28) Rams- their lauded front 4 has been replaced by quitters: Davis and Quick are bright spots
29) Tampa Bay- Someone please tell me how a team can hemmorage points with the D talent on deck?
30) Washington- Competitive D, but the draftable talent surrendered for 2 terrible QB's can no longer be ignored
31) NYJ- they have swag, but they have zero hope. this team stinks to high heaven
32) Jacksonville- Feisty, but that's it. At least they play with heart. So many talent deficiencies.

I don't care about the bottom five, so here's my top-ten...

1. San Diego - To be the man you gotta beat the man. They beat the man.
2. Seattle - The man got beat.
3. Denver - Peyton Manning + defense.

From here it gets tough....

4. New England - I pretty much discount games one through three. Pats look good. Gross.
5. Cincinnati - Good team. Needs to learn to win in prime time.
6. Dallas - Cowboys are similar to San Diego--with less defense.
7. Arizona - #7 without Palmer--and Stanton. With Palmer? We'll see. Maybe.
8. Green Bay - See #4.
9. Philly - Does up-tempo work in the NFL? Is Foles for real? Jury's still out. O'line and defense definitely suck. I hate Philly.
10. Indy - Andy Luck and improving defense makes the ponies tough.

Note: Dallas defense is only gonna get better. In this age of college pitch and catch, here's to big boy power football.

Agree with this ranking

It is hilarious that two 6 weeks ago the NFC East was considered the worst division in the NFC and now we probably have the two highest ranked teams in the NFC. I still think the Eagles are going to be exposed....there is no chance they would go to Seattle and come away with a win. We will beat them.

Dallas has the right team to have Philadelphia charged for indecent exposure. We have a ball control offense that will both devour clock and finish drives. The defense's rushmen philosophy is improving every week. Unlike Russell Wilson, the front four can focus more on applying pressure on Nick Foles and worry less about him escaping the pocket to scramble and pick up easy first downs. Subtracting Morris Claiborne has improved pass defense. Slow Sean McCoy down just enough and Chip Kelly's uptempo offense will be negated. I hope this all happens so we will all get to see the camera pan to Kelly's face in the fourth quarter. The look on his face would be priceless.

My updated rankings.

1. Dallas. To SAS, Marshall, and the all of the other haters, suck it. Tell me someone outplaying us or shut up.
2. San Diego. I for one have been impressed, even though Oakland gave them a scare.
3. Denver. I think they will continue to improve, which is kind of scary.
4. Arizona. They lost Docket and now maybe Campbell, and this could drop them, or we could in 3 weeks, but this team plays nasty.
5. Seattle. Yes, over Philadelphia even thought hey have a great record. When these teams play Philly will get eaten and beaten.

28. Tampa Bay. It was between them and St. Louis, but I just see more ragged play in the Bucs. The Rams are at least fighting.
29. Washington. I have already heard rumors that Jay Gruden will be fired. That would be a mistake, and I think they make that mistake.
30. New York. Rex Ryan's run is over, the only question is will he last the season.
31. Jacksonville. I don't think they will remain winless long. Bortles has some ability for sure, but for now.
32. Oakland. Mark Davis needs to sell the team and get new blood in there to straighten it out. 5 years project at minimum.
