GB lost to CLE and CAR and has tied DAL.
They get Eagles, at Lions, at Broncos, Ravens, at Giants.

The pick would be 24 today before they hit a tough stretch of the schedule.

I’ll say it again: do you trust the FO to hit in late first draft picks? Track record wise…no. Trading for a known commodity is a perfect use of the picks.

I don't trust this front office to do anything. But having two first round picks opens up lots of opportunities in the draft. This team isn't one player or two players away. It's in need of a complete overhaul. Defensive Coordinator on down.

But the moron didn’t do that. He traded Micah, which is the only reason he even was mentally in a position to consider this trade. This is what I mean by never being “all-in”. He makes an “all-in” move after trading the stud lynchpin of our entire defense. The irony of Jerry’s consistent stupidity is that he wouldn’t make this trade if he had resigned Micah. You know, blah blah blah cap blah blah blah can’t have everything blah blah blah need money for everybody else blah blah blah.

He’s such a tool. He’s never proactively all-in. He made this move only because he knew he looks like a complete idiot for trading Micah and he wants to save face. The “all-in”move would have been to pounce on a trade with the Jets if the opportunity presented after signing Micah and pair the two together and make a run. Instead he back peddles into this move out of embarrassment with the product he engineered through his stupid roster management. Now he will prance around like a peacock and strut in front of cameras after “stirring it up”, which is obviously always his primary concern… himself.

This is about the future as much as anything. You don’t just find your starting MLB and one of the league’s best DTs the minute they put on the helmet in the draft. Our secondary is decimated with injuries to guys we have under contract. This season is likely a wash, but holding on to all those draft picks and hoping to be competitive with rookies next year would be foolish. Now we have two proven vets who are under contract and who will get out there in this system with a new team and be ready to roll next season. Meanwhile, we still have 2 first round picks this spring.

I’m conflicted on this guys. I like the player I just don’t know if we overpaid. I’m happy we got a legit DT, FINALLY, but I wanted to keep all our 1st rounders. Help me out ladies and gentlemen, is this good or did we shoot ourselves in the foot? Also as I think about this I’m not thinking this year. This year is a wrap and I’ve accepted that. I’m thinking the next 2 years and the years that follow. Can we resign him? Is he long term? I’m relieved it’s not a one year rental but is he worth a 1st round pick since 1st rounders are 5 year deals?

I don’t care if the pick is 28-32. Lots of immediate starters get drafted by teams at the end of round 1 and the beginning of day 2. Not saying you wouldn’t prefer a top 10 pick, but the bust potential is much less because teams tend to draft college production over athletic potential, I believe.

Because we draft so well in the middle rounds and can find another Williams in those rounds
