GMFB: How much credit does Dakota Prescott deserve for Cowboys win over Seahawks?

This is a very real concern that any rational person should have.

Would love to see how Dak's "intangibles" pay off when AC, Zack, Zeke, and half the defense are gone because he's getting $30 mil a year.
It was actually the Giants game when most of the OL, Zeke and much of the defense was gone that made me take another look at Dak. His game is not graceful, but the dude can ball. Maybe he can become a little more confident and effective as a passer with time. He is about as good a football player as you will find at the position.

No introduction needed for this.

Enjoy.

Go Cowboys!!

Defense 50%, Dak 30%, Zeke 20%. Dak was the key to all 3 of our TD's. And had the receiver caught the ball that bounced off his chest or they called PI like it was then its 4 TD's. Clutch as always.

But he gets 100% of the credit for making fools out of the Trolls.

When you put Dak above Zeke on the credit meter, along with totally omitting Amari Cooper and the offensive line, you have zero credibility at that point. Zero.

As for the red section--
are you referring to the badly underthrown ball to Brown in the end zone, that should have never been placed so as to allow the defender an opportunity to interfere?

Absolutely a good game for Dak.

However--compared to a string of games without Zeke last year, to me the verdict is still out, by a good margin.

I do respectfully disagree with your closing sentence.

Yes, the verdict is still out. I do feel that is the case for all NFL players. Every year is a show me year.

I am so tired of hearing "HE" wins the games. Most of our wins are from a combination of Zeke and the Defense. There are very few games that "HE" carried the team to the win. I hope once we pay him and we cannot afford all world RB's, Oline and great defense, he will then be ready to carry the team more often.

Don’t watch football. You don’t understand what you’re watching.

If he was as solid in the 1st three quarters as he is in the 4th, we'd have a serious QB.

Romo played fine against the Seahawks... Dak slobberers will say anything to make themselves feel better. The point is, Dak has not done anything yet that hasn’t been done. The Cowboys haven’t lost a home wild card game since 2003. Let’s see if he can “win” a road divisional game. Then he will only be three behind Mark Sanchez (if that doesn’t tell you how stupid it is to act like QB winz is any kind of real thing).
DAK has not dropped an extra point snap to lose a playoff game.

Romo has.

Mark Sanchez?

You sound like the talking heads out there.

We will see what happens.

If DAK wins Saturday..

he will better Romo who took 10 years to get his.

Do not get too full of yourself.

You are on very thin ice with your points.

Romo never “lost” a home wild card playoff game either. And he played a heck of a lot better than whatever that was Dak did for three quarters before becoming a clutch running back at the end.
Back under your rock, troll.
Romo couldn't carry Dak's jock strap during the playoffs! It's not even close. As a rookie and in his first playoff game, Dak outperformed all of Romo's playoff game performances.

FACT.

That 3 and 14 play was huge. TD to Gallup was pretty. He deserves a lot of credit. Front 7, Dak and Zeke were the stars.

Dak has been getting better as the season rolls on. He's making smarter decisions, better throws, and throwing the ball away when needed. That run was great, and I love watching it, but I think they may be making a bit too much of it. To think of that run as Dak's defining moment is over hyping it. I think the TD throw to Beasley last week was much more impressive. Not only did he make a great throw, but he did so after a Houdini escape, while rolling left.

This run was awesome, and a clutch decision near the end of the game, but it was basically a straight shot, without having to break tackles (which he's done plenty of, in the past). I think the dive and flip at the end made it more exciting, but I really don't think it was his defining moment. That has yet to be achieved.
Runny, it was not a straight shot. Dak had to sidestep a few would be tacklers, one in the backfield and two linebackers before being hit by a DB 17 yards downfield while diving for the goal line.

LOL Romo 1st home playoff game was Giants and Dallas and Romo played poorly Tony was 18 of 31 for 201 with 1 TD and 1 ints and a QB rating of 64.7. Your right it was not a wildcard game but it was Romo 2nd playoff appearance after losing to seahawks in which he did not have a good game there either. I chalked it up to Romo at that point in his career as a young QB still learning, damn shame Dak does not get the same from his critics.
It's eating him up alive! He's even down to only 2 or 3 supporters. LMAO

Other than the initial step around the OL, the most his path deviated was maybe a couple of 5 degree angles. That's pretty straight line, by football standards.

Should I throw up some stats?
Opinion even then

I thought he played well though. Not taking anything from him
But dont hang your your hat on the 300 yards, in doors,at home vs a very average defense. Arguably the best Cowboy playoff QB situation for stats in 20 years. (Maybe Philly at home in 2009 was close to as optimal.)
The TD - int diff of 2 was good too, but the redzone int was the worst playoff turnover in many years other than D Murray’s 2014 fumble. Next worst would be this years redzone int.

Dak deserves credit though.
No argument there.

Just saying it is total opinion on who had etter playoff performances.

Your calling a lot of people Trolls. Most honest Cowboys fans understand Romo was a very good QB, but he never stepped up in the playoffs. Dak is still a work in progress but right now, he is already more clutch than Romo ever was.
How many potential game changing/game winning passes does Romo have to throw to Crayton and Dez to get credit? Considering how few games he has played in there was only one game he layed an egg, which the whole team failed to show up.
