2nd Round-Maurkice Pouncey C-OG
I hate trading down, but I like this idea more and more. We will pick up a high 2nd, 3rd and 5th for our 1st. The prospects in round 2-3 this year is loaded. I just don't like any of the guys that are probably going to be left at 27. Pouncey is this years Unger. We were interested in a C/OG last year, we'll be interested again. Finally some quality depth and versitility. BYE PROCTOR.
2nd Round(our pick)-Dexter McCluster-RB/WR/KR
I honestly think Barber is getting released. Maybe its just wishful thinking. I want to see a Felix-Choice tandem. With Barber gone you fill that RB spot with McCluster. Not only can he play RB but you can do alot of things with him. Percy Harvin and Chris Johnson wrapped into one. Dexter is a speedy playmaker that we need on offense with Austin and Felix. Possiblities are endless with him. Barber needs to be gone to do this though.
3rd Round(from trade)-Javier Arenas-CB/PR
I know we have Newman,Jenkins and Scandrick but you can never have enough corners and Newman has 2 years left MAX. Arenas is a great punt returner so there's versitility there. He wont just take up a 4th CB spot. He plays great press man coverage. Something this defense needs with a great pass rush.
3rd Round- Ciron Black-RT
I like this value and think Ciron is prototype RT. He can backup Columbo and eventually take over. RT's are usually big maulers. Give him a year to learn behind Colombo. Free with play LT with Flo possibly let go or retired. Ciron could also play LT in a pinch.
4th Round-Torell Troup-DT-USF
Backup for Rat. Could play DE also. Siavii was decent but an upgrade could be used. Good run stopper.
5th Round(from trade)-Robert Johnson-FS-Utah
This depends on what we do with Hamlin and Sensabaugh. We need a playmaking safety and Robert has good production in that category. I know Wade doesnt play rooks, but he can learn a year under a vet and then become a starter in the near future.
6th round-Leigh Tiffin-K-Bama
Yes a kicker. Best in the country. Why not take a chance. Our kicking situation could lose us a few games as is.
7th Round-Pat Angerer-ILB-Iowa
Value pick. He needs to ad a few past but is pretty quick for his size. Strictly a project where he can learn for a few years. Ranked top 5 in tackles this year with 135.
I'm sure we wont use all those picks. I could see us trading that 5th pick we got in a trade around but I didnt want to make it to complicated and unrealistic.
