Going for the TD with 30 seconds to go - is that an unclassy move?

on 4th down, after we'd called what, 2 TO's, if they kneel we get it w/30 seconds left. why give it back?

We called the first two time outs with four minutes to go. Not sure why we called the last one but there was only 20 seconds left. Mumbles could have turned it over to us but he isn't a classy guy so no surprise.

They scored with 19 seconds to go. If they take a kneel down, no way we score 14 points in 19 seconds with no time outs. They ran up the score but as I wrote, I expected no less from Mumbles.

Just like them munching on popcorn after the game or doing the Merriman dance after their playoff game last year, they have no class.

TO told them to bring popcorn. is that class? it's just having fun with it all. sounds like we take it more seriously than the players.

i never said he was classy - i just said we set ourselves up for that one.

It's not like they had Maroney, Morris or Faulk in there running the ball. It was Kyle friggin Eckel running it in.

If they hadn't done stuff like this before, then I would accept your view. However, they have pulled stunts like that before. It's their MO.

Please, Please, ... can we stop with all of the incessant whining about the last TD?

It was irrelevant.

If I am not mistaken it is the defense's job to stop the offense from scoring TD's, not the offense's job.

The game was over before that last TD, ... as a matter of fact, it is over now, .. let's move on to the Vikings.

Loser talk designed to make us forget about the previous 59 minutes of the game. Not gonna work.

We have been doing the same thing to teams all year long ..... we cant cry about it now.

Personally, I'd put it closer to 50 mins than 59.

Yep.

Buffalo is whining that we ran the score up by scoring on the last play of the game. We have no class.

That's not the intent at all. It's an entirely separate question than anything having to do with our winning or losing that game.

I remember when Parcells ran the clock down and took a knee when we were beating the Cards late. When asked why, he said something to the effect that that's just the way you do things concerning another coach. That's class.

But, everyone describes "class" differently. Some people probably thought Anna Nicole Smith had a lot of class, too.

Get your popcorn ready isn't trash talking to the other team. It means get ready for a show, as in entertainment, like when you go to a movie theater.

I think most people have a problem with the Pats because they are perceived as a classy organization, or that image is propagandized by the media and people accept it blindly, when fans and players of other teams say otherwise.

They're akin to the rich spoiled kid who can get away with almost anything because his daddy has money.

Here's how I define "class": not whining about an insignificant touchdown after a humiliating loss. So not the point.

First, Romo gave them great field position by throwing that INT. If anyone is responsible for them scoring again it's Romo more than the defense.

Second, we didn't have Henry and that was a major factor in giving up so many points and Ratliff at 298lbs, got exposed and showed why he's not the answer at NT. Not to mention, 100 yards in penalties aren't going to help either.

Third, our other receivers just didn't step up like theirs. Hurd and Austin need to contribute more in games like these or what good are they? Also, is Stanback ever going to stretch the field like Glenn did last year?

I just felt like we were holding back and feeling them out too much. We didn't go deep enough or try any trick plays...why not? I didn't see Romo roll out of the pocket hardly or throw it too Jones or Barber enough. We didn't test their old LB's enough with slants, dumpoffs or screens to the RB's an TE's. They couldn't even bring Barber down in the endzone and that should have raised some eyebrows. So many things Garrett could have called or tried in this game, that would have worked IMO.

we went for it on 4th and 1 and threw a 30 yard td to owens against miami

Ah but we weren't in the last 30 seconds at the time. The score was what 20-13 at the time?

I suppose we ought to thank him for motivating our team for the next go round with them.

a loss is a loss 14 or 21 does it matter?

Overall, no but it makes the loss look worse than it really was. It was eleven points with four minutes to go and then ends up 21 so it looks like we were killed.
