Going for the TD with 30 seconds to go - is that an unclassy move?

Who cares?? They beat us. It doesn't matter by how much. All that matters is they had more points than us.

The only people who are looking at that score and thinking that Dallas really got manhandled probably didn't watch the game.... or only watched the 4th quarter

Maybe someone else said it, but you guys are forgetting that it was 4th down, if they take a knee there, then the clock stops and we get the ball. No team, not even the Cowboys, would do that on 4th down.

There was nothing general about what Jimmy said. I listened to the audio as well as re-read the transcript. He was very specific about how he videotaped signals. The point is he did it. I honestly don't care how each tried to apply the knowledge. They both did it and there's nothing you can do to justify the fact that Jimmy did it, too.

Pats were wrong because they did it after they were told not to do it.

The problem is your trying to make a baseless analogy with Jimmy and Bellichek, based upon the question of whether Jimmy stole signals or not, which means absolutely nothing..If the question was, did you try and steal signals like Bellichek did, than you would have a point.. if the question was did you, Jimmy Johnson violate the league rules by taping signals, you wuold have gotten a different answer by Jimmy...

they are not alike.. that is the reality of it, and the NFL burned the tapes, and that is the reality of it...

the facts are the facts.. they are different...

If you go back and look at the beginning of the thread, the original question was whether Jimmy admitted to videotaping signals. Someone asked for proof. I provided it. Not sure what's baseless about it.

The difference is the rule wasn't instituted when Jimmy did it, so no, there was no violation. I didn't argue that he violated a league policy. Nor have I argued that the Pats weren't wrong for doing it after the league instituted the rule. I actually believe that they got off light considering everything.

But it doesn't take anything away from the fact that Jimmy videotaped signals, too. No matter how minor he considered the competitive edge, he still did something that no way should be blown off.

I am surprised Brady was still in there. If he popped a ACL or something well they'd be in deep doo-doo. Not that I care but that's just stupid.

I've played organized sports. But hey, feel free to wrongly diverge into what I may or may not have done throughout my life.

And while i was never happy when the score was wrong; I also knew if my team had done the job, we wouldn't have been in that position.

Actually, as I have been reading through the threads about the last TD, I was thinking just the opposite, ... I was thinking that anybody that was whining about the last TD probably never played sports, and I also thought they must have never coached.

I played sports for many years and I was more insulted when teams would pull starters and start taking it easy on me. I'd rather you play the entire 60 min than show pity.

It's really not a huge deal, not like Buddy Ryan having Randall fake a kneel down in the final seconds and then throw a long TD pass. But the reaction of the Pats after they scored that last TD showed they wanted to run it up.

But yeah, if you stop them it's not an issue, but most teams kneel down and show some class. That's something NE doesn't have an ounce of. I wasn't surprised.

on 4th down, after we'd called what, 2 TO's, if they kneel we get it w/30 seconds left. why give it back?

They scored with 19 seconds to go. If they take a kneel down, no way we score 14 points in 19 seconds with no time outs. They ran up the score but as I wrote, I expected no less from Mumbles.

Just like them munching on popcorn after the game or doing the Merriman dance after their playoff game last year, they have no class.
