Some interesting camera work there. All I know still is Lee got lit up and I bet his head swivels from now on. No question he hit him below the neck, I can't tell if his shoulder hit first or not and he did not leave his feet prior to belting him.

I am more mad Carter got called for that ticky tack push when Lee got flattened right behind him because it definitely looked illegal live.

That hit summed up the Cowboys day.

Our day was dirty?

That cheap shot summed up what kind of day the Cowboys had they got their butts handed to them.

When I first saw the video Mash posted I thought he mostly hit him in the upper chest and didn't leave his feet. But it's still illegal....

(3) “Launching” (springing forward and upward) into a defenseless player, or otherwise striking him in a way that causes the defensive player’s helmet or facemask to forcibly strike the defenseless player’s head, neck, or face—even if the initial contact of the defender’s helmet or facemask is lower than the defenseless player’s neck. (Examples: a defender buries his facemask into a defenseless player’s high chest area, but the defender’s trajectory as he leaps into the defenseless player causes the defender’s helmet to strike the defenseless player violently in the head or face; or a defender, using a face-on posture or with his head slightly lowered, hits a defenseless player in an area below the defenseless player’s neck, then the defender’s head moves upward, resulting in strong contact by the defender’s mask or helmet with the defenseless player’s head, neck, or face [an example is the so-called “dip and rip” technique]).

People that speak of honor as cowardly know nothing of honor or courage.

Cowboys LB Sean Lee on Golden Tate’s block: ‘It’s part of football’

1. It looked to me like Lee got hit in the neck which is illegal.

2. Why didn't the Cowboys retaliate? You ever notice in sporting events how the instigator hardly gets in trouble, but the person who retaliates does? That may be why. Do you want any Cowboys suspended?

3. On a side note, just watch. On an NFL field, there's going to be a huge brawl is going to happen that these replacement refs are not going to be able to break up.

Not sure the hit in the neck would be illegal but it "appeared" he led with the crown of his helmet which is illegal.

Yeah,, I will leave it at that.

Bad officiating is part of football apparently.

I am not going to leave it at that. Sean Lee is a tough guy and you could tell that after it happened he was telling the trainers that he was fine and wanted to go back in while they were doing the diagnostics on him.

He isn't going to complain to the press and he is not going to give the press any ammo. I fail to see what you think that you have proven.

Tate did not leave his feet; he appears to lead with his shoulder not his head; although debatable, it does not appear to me to be a helmet-to-helmet hit -- he appears to get under Lee's facemask.

If Tate is fined I won't be surprised. But if he isn't fined, keep this picture in mind. I think a case can be made that the hit was not illegal.

You have to be kidding me.

This is a still of the point of contact. Note the relative positions of his head and shoulders. I am going to hold your hand: Tate's head is clearly the first thing to make contact.

The only reason why Tate did not leave his feet is because Sean Lee's chin was in the way. If you would like i can give you a lesson in dynamics and show you how the energy was transferred to Lee who did get thrown into the air.

I cannot believe how Cowboys fans glorify and defend what was clearly an illegal cheap shot on one of our best players.

That must have been the point during which Lee "simply had the wind knocked out of him". Which probably accounts for the subsequent sideline face-to-face brain trauma tests administered by the team physician.....a common practice with loss of wind injuries.

If you just watch how Sean Lee's head snap backwards so violently then you have to conclude that some part of his head was hit. It's just laws of physics and no way was he hit in the chest. It was either chin underneath the facemask or the facemask itself leading with a forearm or crown of his helmet. Bottom line, it should of been a personal foul and he should be fined. That was straight up a dirty play and I hope Cowboys fans remember this dude Tate and dog him forever. The guy is a thug. Do you see Demarcus Ware ever getting in to the same situation as a player. Enuff said. Shows you who is class and who is not.

I think the landing is just as likely as hell.

True, he looked a little like a limp crash dummy on the way down - not much bracing.
