Demarco is much more easily replaced. If Dez goes this wide receiver corps is the worst in the nfl.
As sad as this sounds It's true.

Golic could just be taking the opposite opinion, need to keep listeners involved....
Everyone knows Dez is the priority and has more impact.
I will not say 1 is more important no more than I would have said Emmitt was more important than Irvin. I think Dallas has done a lot to get this new group of triplets in place and I think Jerry will do what he can to see they remain.
That's what I'm hoping for. Sounds like that's what JG is hoping for also.
I hope both Dez and Murray are willing to work with the organization and I of course hope the organization is willing to work in good faith with both of them.
but between the 20s I'm pretty sure they'd be nearly as effective.
You take away the elite WR and the offense is easier to stop.
You take away the power running game and the offense is easier to stop.
Losing either one would hurt big time.
The elite WR would be harder to replace but replacing a tough, hard yard getting RB isn't all that easy either.
My working theory is that the Cowboys OL and running game was so good this year (and will be even better next year) that the idea that you need a super elite WR pulling double-coverage isn't required.
In fact, shouldn't it be the other way around? The power running game is setting up play-action shots down the field for WRs? Isn't that the way this usually works?
