Good bye D mac

How much would you give up for Reggie Bush?

Just my opinion, but I think McFadden is much more like Reggie Bush than he is someone like Adrian Peterson.

He's an angular 205 pounds with thin hips and legs.

Reggie Bush isn't even in DMac's class when it comes to power running. DMac hits the hole with as much strength and power as any day 1 back in this class. About the only knock on him is his calves:rolleyes:

Side note... this has been a helluva game.

I love it when #1s and #2s get threatened every single week.

Nevermind then, Slaton will be fine with a star on his helmet.

Slaton is not a true NFL RB. He's a 3rd down back, that's going to be great at catching screen passes and lining up in the slot on 3rd downs. He doesn't have a RB's body. At most he can carry it 5-8 times a game. When draft time comes around, he's going to drop like a rock into the late portion of rd1. If we lose JJ, then we need a true NFL RB that can share the load with MBIII, since MBII may not last a full season carrying the ball 20+ times/game with his aggressive running style. The RB we should get is Ray Rice. He's the closest thing to Emmitt I've seen come out of college since Emmitt. He has vision, instincts, durability, toughness, cutting ability, and burst through the whole. This may be a repeat of what happened when Emmitt came out, and Blair Thomas was the #1 ranked RB. I'm by no means comparing DMack to Blair, but you don't always have to sell the house to get a great player. Sometimes that 2nd ranked RB has the better career. JMHO.

You wouldve looked so good in a Cowboy uniform. Enjoy being a Pat and playing on the dark side.

What is the fascination with D. Mac? Running back is the least of our worries. We still have two first round picks. There will be a good wide receiver and a good running back there.

Our scouting department has come a long way since the Larry Lacewell days.

Ahh, the guy is a absolute BEAST....

Yes he is, but he is out of our reach now!

Maybe, maybe not!! Depends on how much JJ wants him. Alot of things can happen on draft day...

People don't watch enough SEC football, he's doing things to that conference no one has done since Mr. Walker. It's not a matter of if he's going to be good or not, its a matter of how great he is going to be. His offense is one-dimensional, and teams know exactly who is getting the ball, yet he still manages to break off huge runs (the only thing our offense lacks). If Jerry wants him, he's going to get him.

I don't know how many times I can say this but Pat's will not be picking up McFadden. Moss and Stallworth are gone next year if they resign one they will still need to draft a WR to take the others place. They are getting VERY old at LB and are losing both their starting CB's to free agency. The pats will go D. Not to mention that they have 3 very good RB's as it is.

You want to give up your 2 #1s and a high pick next year for him? Way too costly for a RB that you don't really need.

Ahh, I said it depends on how bad JJ wants him not me. No, I wouldn't give up our 2 No.1's for him but I wouldn't be upset if JJ did. Again, I think He's a BEAST and would look very good lining up behind Romo..

McFadden is worth whatever anyone decides to give for him. I wouldn't be surprised to see Miami take him, and just figure out how to get him and Brown in the game together.

He is that good.

darren mcfadden must be a cyborg. i don't know if any human could be that good

His line tonight against the #1 team in the nation, 31 carries 205 yards, 3 TDs, 1 TD pass.

Whether we get him or not, he is going to be special.

he's an unbelievable talent...even with trading both 1's next yr and possibly our 1 in 2009, I think you have to consider that if it gets it done...our #1 in 2009 should easily be late 20's or 30's again, essentially at that point your trading two 1's and a 2 for him (thats what a late future #1 is valued at)

getting him next yr would be very similar to getting Tony Dorsett in 1977...we had a great offense but were missing that home run threat at RB...got Dorsett, and the rest is history

McFadden can just do so much to affect games...he can run like almost nobody else can...he can catch...he can throw (honestly, what RB has ever thrown as well as he does? I cant think of anyone close) and despite the two fumbles on the KO return today, he can return kicks...whoever gets him will be a very lucky team and he makes everyone around him better

no RB even had a 100 on LSU this yr...he got 200+

amazing player...and his numbers against the best teams are even more amazing...the SEC has the best defenses hands down in the NCAA, and he runs through them like a hot knife through butter

Hmmm....what is the point of a thread entitled "Good-bye, D-Mac", I wonder?

Someone with only half a brain could come to the conclusion I was agreeing with the original poster. Not real difficult.......
