Wow, Jerry must have absolutely no faith in Joe DeCamillis to put a competent special teams coverage unit on the field. The Cowboys are the only team in the league with a kickoff specialist.

Jerry, the results are in. Your 2009 draft was a total turd. Give up the ghost.

So if he is trying to save face by keeping a draft choice why did just cut Harris or Thomas from his most recent draft.

Or Williams his top pick from the 2009 draft in the middle of last season.

I remember when the only reason Holley was on the team was because of Jerry and now its Jerry cutting him to keep Buehler.

I don't think there would be an issue with either Garrett or Jerry if Holley was cut flat out for Carter. The issue is that DB is still on this team and from all reports Jerry loves him.

If Baily keeps it up he'll be in the pro bowl and maybe all-pro. What is the point of keeping DB?

I'm sure Jerry loves quite a few players and? You are still assuming that any move you disagree with is Jerry. Great game to play don't like a move hey Jerry is an idiot but on moves you like well Garrett made it.

Great point. Jerry agreed with Irvin to allow a player a chance at a try out and now Jerry wants him gone?

Show me one report where Garret has said anything pertaining to Bueheler different from Jerry.

So can we say that Garrett loves him also?

So, dismiss the ideas it is about saving face.

Can we agree it is about Jerry Jones knowing nothing about running an effective football team by cutting one player who has utility while keeping another for lord know's what reason?

I have yet to see a cogent, reasonable explanation for why this is the only NFL team in the league that employs two placekickers on their active roster, much less can explain why we carried one that is injured.

Only assumption is you claiming this is Jerry move and not that of Garrett

I don't think there should be 2 kickers on the roster.

But the point remains that there is zero evidence that Jerry is making this call against the wishes of his coaching staff.

For some reason Buehler is all of a sudden some pet of Jerry and he is keeping him over the objections of Garrett, please explain why this makes any sense whatsoever.

Because controversy in Dallas sells, and anything about Jerry can and will be made up to create some.

Richie Whitt also said that JJ might be hanging on to that 5th he used to get him in that wonderful draft. They also talked about how short Jason was in the PC yesterday when asked about DB coming back. Face it dude, if it happens it's a JJ decision.
And like i said in my other post,if Jason WANTS holley on this team he will be on this team and btw JJ isn't going to cut Mike's guy:star:

So we have Richie Whitt's speculation about what's going on in JJ's head, and his interpretation of JG's attitude when answering a question - this counts as evidence now?

Other than the SF game Holley isn't contributing much on O and he's not some world beater at special teams. Danny McCray leads the team in Special Teams tackles with 7, Victor Butler is second with 6. In fact Holley isn't even top 3, he's tied for 5th on the team with 3 ST tackles.

Don't get me wrong I think DB should be released but if it's Holley I don't think we'd miss much as long as Carter can contribute on ST

Im not a jerry basher in any kind of way if this happens this is utter garbage. no way should we be cutting Holley. That is Crazy. this would be the only time i would actually be pissed about a move Jerry has made.

It is par for the course for the worst GM/owner in the NFL. I read the ******bag actually mentioned on TV that he made the call to allow for Murray to break the rushing record. Not sure if it is true but it wouldn't surprise me the idiot said that. The guy really needs to go.

See, where you read those comments and are bothered that they mentioned it, I'm bothered that they're right. After all these years they're still correct.

and?

nothing i can say or do will change him owning the cowboys. it shouldn't. he bought the team and can do whatever he wants with them. if i hated it so bad i let seeing his face send me into a self-rightious tizzy how is that helping me?

i don't care if they're right or wrong and they've long since past being annoying as he....

anyway - if it makes you happy to hate what you can't change, go be happy.

No all of this is speculation. I do however trust a guy that has been in the dallas media for over 20 yrs though, more then anybody on this board.

I could care less who is making the decision whether it be JJ or JG, but to keep DB around while cutting good productive football players around is just dumb!

If it's both of there decisions, or just one, it doesn't matter IMO it's a dumb move. It's my right as a fan.

I agree it is your right as a fan to not like a certain move . There where moves Landry made I did not agree with. Just as you trust a Dallas media member I trust Garrett has a more of a clue as to what he wants and how he wants to do things.

No, I will extend that to Garrett if it comes to that.

All I know is the evidence at hand. In camp, Jerry Jones said keeping two placekickers was a consideration. Garrett downplayed the talk.

But yet now, I am expected to believe Garrett is making all the calls and has the final say because of what exactly?

No head coach in Dallas will ever have the final say with Jerry Jones as the general manager. There will be varying degrees as to their influence on his final decisions, but ultimately those who honestly think that he has complete carte blanche are complete imbeciles.
