Yeah, what people are seeing are just bad calls. Could a ref, in OT, sway the outcome? Sure he could. But how the hell would he know it's going into OT? He couldn't put money on it based on that.

That said, there are some plays that make me raise my eyebrow. But they are extremely few. Remember back in 2018 when we beat the 10-1 Saints 13-10? Late in the game they called Gregory for neutral zone violation on a play Brees fumbled. I called that ref out as my coping mechanism. It was a terrible call to start. And he waited until Brees was in trouble to throw the flag. But after I cooled off I just realize these refs are just bad.
I think a big part of the problem is that too many people refuse to step back and realize that they made a decision in the heat of the moment and jumped to conclusions, rather than think rationally.

I'm often like you, in that my first, emotional reaction is to think someone's cheating. Once I step away from it and look through unbiased eyes, I can make a more rational observation.

Yeah, I remember that play and also remember posting a video or pic of the flag on its way down the ground before Brees even fumbled, meaning it was thrown way before Brees was in danger.

Or you can just wait for me to post a pic or video.

What got me about that play was that the ref didn't throw it at the snap. Usually refs throw that flag at the snap, like they do with illegal formation. But it's been too long for me to remember the exact delay.

I do remember that it was seen on the reverse angle replay so it came from the far side and not at the bottom of the screen like you'd expect. I don't think I still have that pic or video. Here was Gregory in the neutral zone, by the way.

Multiple times, everyday someone is complaining about Goodell and the refs having it out for the Cowboys. How they will help Brady out to beat the Cowboys or Rogers or anyone. I’ve asked the question multiple times of some of these posters of , “Who, how and why”. I’ve yet to get a response. So let me lay it out for you.

If Goodell has it out for the Cowboys and is using the refs to influence the game the process would play out something like this. Let’s just take one game. Say the first playoff game. Goodell would have to call in or meet virtually with the officiating crew for that game. Then tell them that he wants them to make sure the Cowboys don’t win or at the least if the call is questionable go in favor of the other team. These refs do this as mostly a hobby as they all have full time jobs. Some are Doctors, lawyers, pilots etc. They don’t need the money so you think any of them would do what Goodell asks? They have reputations to protect. Even if one of them accepted, do you think the other 4 would not tell someone? Of course they would because if they didn’t then they would be just as guilty.

And some of you say this happens every week so every officiating crew should have to be in on it. I mean it’s so ludicrous it’s just unbelievable so many here think this is happening.

The officiating crews for any game make mistakes. That’s what you’re seeing and not some intentional attempt to screw the Cowboys. And these mistakes more often than not, even out.

So this “Goodell and the refs” have it out for the Cowboys is pure conspiracy quackery.

C'mon get real...nothing like this will be made this obvious. They may not be "out for the Cowboys"....but there usually is a double standard when it comes to Cowboys players. As for reputations, it all is justified under the "objective rulings". They would rather be thought of idiots than game manipulators.

Yeah, I remember part of his helmet being on the blue line. You'll see this not called in just about every game. They never call this. Ever since this flag I've been noticing that it's never called. Because it pissed me off. But still, I don't think the ref did anything wrong. I'm just pissed that I don't ever see it called again.

I think it was probably only called because he was so much farther ahead of the rest of the team.

Wrong!!!

There is a little hand signal that all referees use when their hand is mid level to their waist after their call is made. You just got to know what to look for:confused:

Honestly, being a referee is a thankless job. Even when I was in college and got paid to ref intramural games, no matter what you call, people are always pissed at you (same thing in high school sports). In my defense, I did play some sports as well.
:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:Hand signals now? :lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

I don’t think it’s that deep I just think certain referees don’t like the cowboys for whatever personal reason. We’re a polarizing team. Good chance some of these refs grew up hating the cowboys

Yep, you're probably right. He stood out. It wasn't the wrong call. I find it amazing that it still bothers me to this day. Look down the line the next time you watch a game. You'll see heads over that line.

When it happens so often, it doesn’t seem to be a coincidence.

If it were coincidence, then you would think the calls would even out eventually but they haven’t yet.

I agree that there is not a conspiracy against us ......... most modern day refs just want to be in the spotlight and throw their weight around.

There is no excuse for the NFL to not have ref training schools and full time refs who are not held accountable for game changing screw ups.
