Goodell and the refs have it out for the Cowboys?

I didn’t say there was a conspiracy. In fact, I’ve said at minimum 37 times that it’s extremely unlikely there is any sort of conspiracy.

What I have said is refs are humans. Humans can be biased. I don’t know if refs are, but I know there have been many unique rulings and all to one team.

That’s all I’m saying man. If you believe it’s absolutely impossible for a ref to not like a team, begrudge a team, or love a team then ok. These rare plays and dozens of odd judgements make me curious. This upsets some people’s worldview and I’m ok with that.
Okay, I thought you were thinking it was a league wide scheme against us. I absolutely agree there's a possibility of bias with a few officials, or even that some are triggered by certain things. I don't think it's nearly as commonplace as some do, and I certainly think any cases like that would be anomalous.

One thing I find spectacular is the NFL sell you a product on the tv commercials that links directly to the success of the player on the field. In the same game you see Rodgers selling insurance 20 times between plays and then Rodgers getting the winning drive TD.

If that is not commercial genius IDK what it is. Of course if that winning drive stalls before on 3rd and 14 the strategy is not that effective, so here come the ticky tacky flags to get that 1st down and make sure the winning drive happens. Star players are still great, they just need a little push sometimes.

Rodgers and Brady's linemen seem to keep the pocket very clean on winning drives also. Getting away with a little extra holding on those last 2 minutes? David Irving would say so.

Also opposing teams CB's get flagged on crucial downs in the 4th, remember the Patriots championship wins against the Jags and Ravens, superbowl comeback against Atlanta?
What incentive is it for the refs to call these “ticky tack” penalties?

The league needs stars to promote.

As with everything..... Follow The Money.
So how is the league getting the refs to favor the star players? Paying them off? And if so, why would all the refs in the league who are part time employees and have other jobs, risk their reputations doing something illegal? And even if all 100 of them did risk their reps how would they be able to keep it secret for decades? And if you think all 100 of them would participate then you’re mistaken. Probably 98% wouldn’t and then the rest would let the cat out of the bag otherwise they would be just as guilty.

I believe deflate gate came after another scandal, spygate?

I think they wanted to save face on that one, show they were not in cajuts with the Patriots. I tend to think the league does want him to keep his upward popularity and legend pointing up, he is really a great player, has historical achivementes and is still playing, I don't dispute that. The NFL took him to Europe this year and it was a Brady Fest! People around the world link Brady to NFL products, my nieces who know nothing about football bought his patriots jersey and now want the Bucs.

BTW I appreciate you bring up intelligent arguments and respectful dialogue, even if we don't agree, one of few guys around here who carries himself that way.
I don't know, brother, they seemed to be trying pretty hard to hang Brady on a cross. Maybe it was just for show, but it sure seemed legit. They had independent scientists running experiments that anyone could verify, if they put in the time to do so, and IIRC, many people did. In my personal opinion, I think that, if Spygate had any influence on that, it was less about saving face, and more about pissing the league off that the Patriots had the balls (no pun intended) to create another cheating scandal.

I believe you that Brady is known all over the world, but they sell jerseys and merch of every team. Hell, Brady might be more well known in the rest of the world because of his soon-to-be ex-wife than the NFL. Whatever the case, if they were concerned about his worldwide image, there probably would have been no Deflategate, IMO.

Thanks for the compliment, and let me reciprocate the sentiment. ;) The way I see it, it's hard enough to get people to see your side without being a dick and making them not want to question their stance, just out of spite.

That's an excellent picture I can see his thumb coming out from under the bottom of his face mask looks like his thumb and index finger or pushing it to the side his thumb definitely comes out from under the bottom granted it's not violent but neither is what McGovern did.

And I don't care how the officials call the game but it just needs to be consistent at least throughout the game it would be really nice if it was consistent from game to game but you kind of get a feel on how a game's going to be called and then all of a sudden at certain times it starts to be called a different way and it looks like there's some shenanigans involved.

PS I can't believe I'm getting involved in this again I swear not to get into this after 35 pages

Yes, it comes out from the bottom because Biadasz turned his head with the shoulder shove. So the face mask bottom moved over the hand that was on the shoulder while not grasping. If you're seeing a thumb and index finger on the facemask, wouldn't you see a "pinching" type formation on his hand? When he takes his hand away, the thumb and index finger are apart, again probably because they were flat on the shoulder while not grasping it. I didn't see an unfurling of anything there.

There was a time when people never thought NBA officials were biased.

I just proved my case, link provided which included videos and testimonies against such bias and favoritism calls for certain QBs and their teams. Heck, even Tom Brady's own team and city newspaper agreed how Brady and the Bucs get preferential treatment and calls in their favor by them refs. Can't dispute that.

He's not respectful. Total in denial name caller.
Name caller? Who did I call what name?

And being objective is not being a "denier".

I'm pretty sure I've seen "poopyhead" out of you a time or two.
I just went back and saw who it was. Curious to see what he considers name calling. I don't know, maybe I did it, but I don't remember it.

For those fans not long in the tooth, this is the longest running conspiracy theory in Cowboys history. It is one of the reasons a lot of people do not like the Cowboys, because of their fans making excuses for losing instead of just getting outplayed.

If you watch closely, you will see them miss calls that could have gone against the Cowboys as well.

Officials are human and make mistakes but for being at field level watching larger men moving at high rates of speed, I think they do as good a job as humanly possible.
As usual, Greg plays the victim while thrashing his own fellow fanbase when they don't agree with his views.

Not referring to you, Runny. Referring to several others.

Yep, ignore 5 years running of CURRENT data that blew your theory up that it's not just the Raiders or Cowboys to go right back to your premise of just the Raiders or Cowboys being victims of the league.

While we're at it, why haven't the Browns or Lions won Super Bowls in so long? I mean there's YEARS of data showing they haven't. It's PROOF the league has it out for them. Over 30 years!

my past posts have never stated that the Cowboys and Raiders are the only victims of poor officiating. Our most hated rivals like the Eagles and Comodes haven’t benefited from them either

my contention is that anyone who has watched the decades of the Steelers, Packers,Giants, and Patriots know very well that any of their game winning drives will rarely ever see a subjective penalty go against them during the execution of the drive. Nobody was looking for it but after years of observation we realized the trend. It’s not just the numbers of penalties, but the situation as we have pointed out ad nauseum

it’s unprovable and their within lies the ability for officials to control the outcomes of games. It’s not always nefarious as it’s just sheer ineptitude on some of their parts. Look at the disparity of some groups of officials compared to other groups. Completely inconsistent and some are known by their proclivity of being flag heavy and disturbing the natural flow of the game because they want to be participants rather than observants and officials.

in short, NFL officials are biased, inept and self promoters……other than that their probably nice people
