Only thing that sucks is... I wanted to see Coop... ball out and really make Jerry look stupid.[/QUO instead of this kind of wish wouldn’t be easier to just find a different team?

You are wrong. Appeal coming soonDo people just believe everything they hear because the title "expert" is used? People just shut their brains down and allow others to decide what you think because you believe they are smarter than you? The league isn't appealing this. He's getting 6 games.

It sets a precedence for the future and the Player's Union is going to hit this hard next negotiation.
Not that I am supporting, or against what they do.
Interesting to watch though.
Two other courts in Texas threw out the charges for not enough evidence, so it wasn't just this judge
This didn’t age well
I hope this is wrapped in sarcasm but if not.Because the law of public opinion trumps the law in the NFL.
As it should.
Yeah sure its fair.I hope this is wrapped in sarcasm but if not.
There is no LAW in the NFL... it's a business entity. A unique one where it owns a league and teams and the players are a union operating collectively with them. They have to maintain appearances for business purposes and personal conduct should be maintained but they collectively bargained a process to do that. Fairly.
If you read Judge Sue Robinsons' conclusion she did a wonderful job with this suspension and it was fair. People are upset because of their bias isn't right.
Wow, so if he committed sexual assault against 4 women he should get at least a year and maybe lifetime suspension. Sexual assault against 4 women is horrible. The most important line in that is : " as defined by the NFL". So to me that suggests the NFL has a different definition of sexual assault then the police. So this puts the ball in the NFL's court. Watson violated the NFL rule of sexual assault so the NFL can punish him without criminal charges.
So this goes back to a post I made yesterday or today. At the next CBA everyone has to decide what the NFL's role is. Is the NFL a policing entity or not. This is the gray area that bothers fans like me. I don't like that the NFL has their own definition of sexual assault and I really don't like the phrase "conduct detrimental to the league ". It seems vague and subjective.
I feel Watson should at least get a year suspension but this fuzzy, gray area that allows the NFL to dish out inconsistent punishments needs to be addressed at the next CBA.
If he does this it's going to be litigated. I haven't read the exact language but it's a mutually agreed upon and binding arbitration if I'm not mistaken.
NFL is just playing the PR game in their typical amoral fashion.
Good.
He better.
Great response, Borat.Yeah sure its fair.
NOT.
If you have to ask you will never understand the answer.Great response, Borat.
What about this isn't fair?
Wait a minute! Didn't the Texans already sit Watson all of last season? Doesn't the count?
Oh, please, please, PLEASE... get bored. I'd love to be educated. Please. If you have to ask you will never understand the answer.
I am not sufficiently bored to waste my time educating you.
I am still waiting on Robert Krafts suspension for doing exactly the same thing.
you ain't worth the effortOh, please, please, PLEASE... get bored. I'd love to be educated. Please.
still means that Kraft got away with it. Goofsmell lives by double and triple standards. Not to defend Kraft but he paid for an agreed upon "Happy Ending." Watson is alleged to have er.. tried to force the Happy Ending without getting it negotiated up front. Not saying either is right or wrong.. but they are different circumstances altogether.
