Obviously on offense we are not but then we're relying on 2 Rookies to carry us including at QB. Unknown assets at this point.

And that doesn't include if Dez is completely recovered. He looked great initially but then the concussion. Wittens production is fading . Morris looks like a great addition but again unproven on this team . Too many unknowns going in without Romo which probably would have been upper tier and it still could be . We'll see .

Our defense appears to be a bottom tier so I'd say yes. 24 other teams probably are better. And we weren't sure how much it would hold us back even with Romo.

I'm not sure Id rank us as low as Gosselin did but I certainly wouldnt rank us in upper half until we have some sample size on both sides of the ball. We'll have a better sense soon.

Agree, can't use just part of it that fits and Gosselin would probably prefer to see the team play real games with Dak before doing his power ranking but that's not the way it works. What is amusing is how power rankings, in a league that decides the champion with a playoff system, seems to rile some people up. Would they prefer he puts us in the 12th position and we end up 28th or vice versa?

This defense was ranked around the 15th range last year if I recall correctly, most of the game we lost last year were by one score because our offense couldn´t put up points, not because our defense couldn´t stop opposing teams.

I'd say the provided list is a good start.

Keep in mind that most analysist are not going to place a team with a Rookie QB and suspect defense very high.

But these rankings are subject to change week to week based on the results .

Yes, he took over Frank Luksa's position but in his defense he's fought that battle just as Luksa did and he's been pretty open about the bias in the northeast against Cowboys, just as Luksa was. Gosselin has a great deal of respect for the Cowboys that deserve to be in from the past.

His problems with the team have been what all of the local broadcasters and writers have had, the way the team is run and quite a few of them have a problem with the way Booger has tried to use them to further his agenda. Those interviews with him about the upcoming fight and the incessant promos are a requirement to carry the preseason games and that will build some resentment among the local media. And it has been that way since Booger arrived in Dallas.

Yep. Fortunately in NFL it's still decided on the field . These power ranking are meaningless in NFL except for handicapping the games.
