While I admire Dak for keeping his eye on the ball, I think he's making a mistake not doing any endorsement or licensing deals, especially during the bye week.

You never know what your future holds and what situations or circumstances may arise or change in the near and distant future. It would be different if he were a first round pick money wise, but as a fourth round pick, he should be using those deals to provide a cushion in case things don't go as planned for some reason.

That is true but I guess Dak has to use his judgement on what he feels is best for him. To me it is a bit refreshing to see a young man more concerned about improving as a player as opposed to how much cash can I rake in. I think in the end those deals will be there for the taking if Dak takes care of his business today

Oh I definitely agree. It's refreshing to see an NFL player putting the team and family first, but you should still take advantage when opportunities pop up to earn more money because careers can be short and the high points where you can really take advantage can be few and far between.

Well sometimes opportunity for success can happen twice maybe even 3 times.

Time spent with your love ones who you may or may not see ever again is priceless.

Guy visits his grandmother (love of family is always truly admirable) and fans can STILL work in a jab at Romo. Amazing.
If you are referring to my post, I really wasn't trying to jab at Tony. I'm just really impressed with this kid. His demeanor and work ethic actually reminds me of when Tony was getting his shot.

I somewhat agree but to me it is like so many QB who leave school early to jump on the paycheck like Vince Young and so many others who would have benefited long term by staying in school but money was more important. Not going to fault him but I always felt he needed more time. With Dak I have to believe he is thinking of his best interest long term not short term glory.

Just my opinion. If I read:

This kid is really growing on me.

--it's an "Awww! Me too!" moment for me. When I read:

This kid is really growing on me, sorry Tony, I'm like wth..?

But that's just me.
