While I admire Dak for keeping his eye on the ball, I think he's making a mistake not doing any endorsement or licensing deals, especially during the bye week.

You never know what your future holds and what situations or circumstances may arise or change in the near and distant future. It would be different if he were a first round pick money wise, but as a fourth round pick, he should be using those deals to provide a cushion in case things don't go as planned for some reason.

kinda agree with you on this

I disagree, he's passing on chump change now that wont make much, if any, difference in his life. Passing on some likely silly, local ad for Kroger or some other chump change BS ad in order to go see his Grandma just enhances his already growing, positive image.

If the kid is smart enough to know that winning is the tide that lifts all boats (i.e. makes him the most money) then even if this football thing doesn't work out, he'll be fine.

He keeps this up and he'll have the pick of the litter when it comes to endorsements and more money than he'll ever be able to spend.

The kid has his priorities perfectly on track, hopefully he doesn't have people whispering nonsense in his ears trying to convince him to chase the endorsement money now, there will be plenty of time for that.

I think the Joneses family has some money they can lend Dak if he truly needs it.

Not sure of the intent of the "sorry Tony." You don't have to abandon Romo just because you like Prescott.

We're very fortunate to have two QBs who also seem to be good people with their heads screwed on right.
I agree, intentions weren't bad. I addressed that earlier, just poor choice of words.

Cool. Didn't understand why he was mentioned. Thanks.

Deion did a FaceTime interview with Dak after the GB game. I think that's what he was referring to. Pretty good interview, too. To his credit, Deion didn't dive into the Romo issue at all, only telling Dak to avoid it completely.

And who knows how long his Grandma will be around (to have him visit). Good for Dak.

If Dak wasnt a good QB would this be relevant
Seems like a really good guy.

But yes, most likely nearly every single player on that team has gone to see their grandparents during time off at some time.
It's getting comical. But it's also harmless.
Better than having guy get a DUI:eek:

Right, Dak is passing on million dollar Subway commercials to go see his grandma.

Not likely, my speculation is they are low budget local or semi national ads at best which is not a significant loss in the scheme of things.

There most certainly is a price that would have kept him from going to see his grandma. The fact that he is going to spend time with her over the bye implies the endorsement opportunities are no big loss to him at this stage in his career and IMO, the image created by passing on them, for the reason he did, does more to enhance his overall endorsement value than chasing every opportunity that comes his way.

We actually agree on your premise, I just happen to believe he'll be more valuable and profitable by being selective and continuing to let the world see that this kid is not just a great QB but a pretty special human being as well. Madison avenue will empty their coffers for people like that.

RG3 still getting a paycheck. And his shoulder won't need surgery. (last I read)
And he was a top 3 pick and got top 3 money. As i said in my previous post it would be less of an issue had he been drafted in th first round, especially near the top.
