AP is 30, and ran for 1,266 yards his last full season (2 years ago). He however still wants to be played like he just finished his 2012 season and the Vikings don't want to get rid of him without some compensation (which it sounds like the Cards are willing to give). AP is probably not coming to Dallas.

The situation is complicated. Does anyone really believe the Vikings are gonna pay him 12 million this year? I don't. He does not want to be there. So, it's a stare down. Hard to say how it will end. Personally, I think he's worth a 2nd round draft pick. Then the question is how much would we have to pay him?

Cards have said they are not willing. AD is trying to get released.

All this time and wait for a one year deal? At first when I thought we had a chance to sign him I thought it would be for one year. But this is taking too long for me to believe that this is going to be a one year

I think at this point in time, and looking forward, Gurley and Gordan are better than Peterson, and if we get Hardy, there is no reason to go after one of them.

It sounds like they probably just wanted to wait for the physical and they took too long today to get it done. That is the only reason it's taken so long... I am just sort of surprised no one has any idea of the #s being talked about.

They just wanted to get a jump start at whatever the DFW VIP lounge is. And it was happy hour for Jerry and JWB. We have our own doctors who could have done a physical anytime.

He likely doesn't want more than a year. His value will likely never be lower than it is right now. The good news is, we have a ****load of money to spend next year and other than Dez and Crawford (who will both likely be signed long term soon), we aren't losing any starters, so it's likely we will just resign him or possibly even franchise him next year.

He would probably negotiate a "no franchise" clause, but if he didn't it would be a 20% increase over his 13.1m salary or 15.7m

Large but not impossible depending on Dez' deal

Wow they just told Eli about Hardy coming to the Cowboys.

Shortly afterwards, luckily someone got a quick shot of his reaction:

AP was a great RB and will be for a couple more years Gurley will be a great RB for seven or eight more years

Gurley doesn't have the stamina to be a great RB in the NFL. Ever see how he looks after 10-11 carries? He's the bust of the draft is my prediction.

Go with Gordon, Coleman, or Yeldon.
