News: Gregory Suspended for a year

Speaking as a recovering addict. You sir are ridiculously ignorant.
Call me ignorant too...never touched any of that stuff, even booze and never will. I also don't gamble. I don't see the point or need for any of that in my life.

DE Randy Gregory has the right to appeal his suspension in federal court but does not appear to have filed anything at this stage.

I don't see any recourse here.

The NFL and NFLPA signed off on the Substances of Abuse program.

4.2 Appeals The decision of the arbitrator will constitute a full, final, and complete disposition of the appeal and will be binding on all parties. link

I wouldn't have even let him play the last 2 games . Cut him. Let it be known this won't be tolerated. What a waste . And what an arrogant idiot GM we have.
Yes, idiot with the best record in the league....lol

One can be taking responsibility, getting help, testing clean week after week, month after month, and slip up one time with the wrong people or when depressed, and get right back on the wagon, yet be suspended at the next level. That's addiction....it's not necessarily weed addiction; it's addictive behavior and self-medication due to depression.

Not all drunks are alcoholics physically; some are binge drinkers who self-medicate to feel better. Most weed smokers aren't as addicted to the weed as they are medicating and chasing a feeling of peace that's missing. They need lots of counseling, not just a detox period. Drug addicts, even after kicking a physical addiction, still take years to learn how to be happy and not relapse into self-medicating when they are sad or lonely.

Has Tapper been practicing every day now? With Cooper signed any chance he is activated over Collins?

Everything I've heard discussing Tapper is maybe next year. That back issue is a major one and not guaranteed to be fixed.

No.

Charles Tapper is still working with the rehab team.

La'el Collins is expected to start practicing in some fashion tomorrow, which will begin a 21 day window before a decision must be made whether to activate him or not.

I pray your kids nor your family ever battle addiction. Id love for you to visit a rehab facility to see how difficult having an addiction is. Would you have told KC to drop Eric Berry when he had cancer? Probably not. Addiction is a disease. You are uneducated and really need a reality check.
It is not a disease,it is a pattern of behavior.
Comparing it to cancer is ridiculous.
I almost lost it all due to alcohol.I took inventory on myself and took responsibility for my actions.
It was booze or my career and wife and kids.Easy choice.
If it really mattered for Gregory,he would think it twice before toking again.
Grow up and be a man.If getting high is his main priority in life, then pro football is not for him.Simple as that.
We all have choices. He chose poorly.

Screw him. Cut him and be done with it, he was a liability against the run anyway

We must must must go DE in round 1 this coming draft

Picking very late in round one, we must try to draft the highest rated player on the board.

There's no telling who may drop, Dallas needs to prepared to go in a lot of directions and just try to select good players.

Fill all the needs in some manner during free agency prior to the draft.

Dang, was hoping it was only McClain getting suspended once again when that news broke a few weeks ago about a possible Gregory suspension.

Oh well. Sadly, the NFL and NFLPA agreed on punishments for failed\missed tests. Can't blame em for this. Hopefully RG can end his addiction to weed before he loses his chance to be a nfler
