Body armor is not impenetrable and the head is always a solid target.

I saw his stuff after they took it off him, he had full SWAT type gear helmet, too, he would have killed anyone firing on him. How do you target him well when there is tear gas blinding you? It just isn't realistic, in another situation, maybe.

He had no face shield. Only a gas mask. Guess what? That is NOT bulletproof.

So by that rational the police would not have had a chance either? From what I heard the tear gas was'nt effective. And even if you were not able to put him down, perhaps you could have distracted him long enough for some women and children to escape, which IMO, would be totoally worth it.

Perhaps, or perhaps you could also hit someone in cross-fire. Police have some of the necessary gear to handle this.

You really don't seem to know a lot about firearms. Just because he had an automatic weapon doesn't mean he was accurately firing. He was 'spraying and praying' and not needing luck because it was a huge crowd of people.

Police kill more people in x-fire than lawfully armed civilans. And police do not spotanously appear when somthing like this happens. Many people can die while waiting for them to respond.
