Gurode a bust?

Does anyone know where you can find a breakdown on the success of runs to the left, right and center? it would be interesting to see. If there was such a discrepancy between running left and right, one would think the Cowboys coaching staff would have picked up on it by now - then again, maybe they are stupid enough not to notice such a trend.

Another thing to consider is that there are four blockers responsible on most runs to the right - Center, RG, RT and TE. It only takes one player messing up his assignment to screw up a play.

If Julius "Milk" Jones runs tomorrow anyone want to make a friendly bet with me that his biggest run coems over the right side? :D

seems like to me in the new york game we went for it on 4th and 1 and ran behind LA and flozell and lost 2 yards. we can occasionally run on the left side but not consistently.

I was at the detroit game this year which was eddie's best game by far. i had end zone seats and the holes than our o-line was busting open eddie should have had at least 150 yards. he just doesn't have the speed to hit the hole. basically i'm trying to say that i believe our o-line has been inconsistent but if we had any guy with some ability toting the rock they would look a lot better.

Please don't suggest a decent running back could make our line look better... that's blasphemous... Huh Nors? :D

yes please forgive me for i have sinned... :p

No one wants to take the friendly bet?

Not even Nors? The guy who insists the right side is a wall the RBs can't eclipse?

Hell no he doesn't. That's been evident for a long time.

I'll second that . . .

The idiocy of Nors exposed yet again . . .
I knew when someone posted the actual stats it would be exactly the opposite of the claim.

I'm hoping Nors comes on here and tells me that I'll never win the lottery. :D

Considering the source of the claim . . . it wasn't suprising.

Nors I remember in 1993, our offensive line looked pretty crappy the first two game sof the season but then it improved considerably. The funny thing is that Sherman Williams was the running back those first two games and Emmitt Smith was there for the following 14.

While you might find it hard to believe but the quality of the running back does make a difference.

Actually, the RB for the first two games in the 1993 season was Derrick Lassic.

But I don't blame you for not remembering him......I've tried to forget.

Sorry about that... I knew it was one of those 'Bama guys. :D

Only Nors! LOL And the fact that he starts this kind of rant with a pic of quINTcy smiling back at everyone. We should have gotten Ty Law to take the place of Gurode on that right side. Ty could run block I bet. :D

As soon as I saw that post I checked the Who's Online function and he was viewing that thread. Notice he logged off without acknowledging he was wrong..................Again?

Just once I would to see him step up, be a man about it and admit he was wrong.

I would hold him in much higher regard if he did.
