Guys, change is coming Jerry Jones said

It wasn't close to being a win.
We got spanked.
And it wasn't about a few mental errors.
We got pushed and manhandled all day and were lucky to not be down by 28 pts.

Dont know what it means guys, but Jerry Jones said change is coming.

He refered to where he changed ideals, structure when Bill came here. That if it isnt working, and he was highly disappointed, cried like a baby after game, and was visibly upset to some people, that he had to call them to apologize later. That say, someone says this is how ive always done it, and it worked, but Jerry said, that change is coming, take that whatever way you think. But to me, some of parcells ways it seems are going to change or something.

He also said that he is the only one that decided if TO is here, that has nothing to do with Bill. That he is the only one that decides if TO stays or not, it has nothing to do with bills decisions of staying or not.

Then, he said, he was highly disappointed in TO's perfromance, his returns after the catches, etc, thats why they got him, to make plays after the catch, and he just isnt doing it, so take that for what its worth.

Seems like to me, TO is going to have to change some, and so will Bill. OR something else will happen.

GOOD!

Changes are needed at least in some areas...

Is there an exact transcript of what Jerry said?

You can go listen to it on the Cowboys Website - it is about 11 minutes long.

This quote really is worth repeating.

I feel this fact has gone ignored, kind of like the fact that the Eagles just clowned us without McNabb, Kearse and Garcia at the helm.

To watch his team be "non-competitive" with so much on the line was stunning, Jones said.

"I'm as disgusted as I've been in years. A game like this indicts us at the top, " Jones said.
This is the point of this thread. Stop thinking about TO.
What this tells me is that unless the boys go deep into the playoffs (highly unlikely), BP is history. Jones feels like he has done everything he can do (including selling his soul to the devil) to get BP the players he needed and they still underachieve. I think he'll show Parcells enough respect to allow him to "retire" again, but I think he is holding Parcells responsible for his "disgust".

He did say, "indicts us", but I think that was a team "us" and not a coach/GM "us".

And, in all honesty, this aged Bill Parcells is not the fiery task-master the young Bill Parcells was.

I'm sure the GROZ crew is growing, but as bad as the defense has been recently, the Eagles game was also about inept offense.

In the Army, the unit commander is held responsible for everything his soldiers do, and everything they fail to do. The General is not happy with this unit commander.

The offense has been a top unit all year, a bad game is a bad game. Hard to get a lot of offense going too when your defense doesn't get off the field.

I also don't think Jerry will fire BP per se unless he has something top notch lined up behind him already - IOW, keep your eyes on the Cowher or Fisher situations. If Fisher is extended and/or Cowher does decide to take some time off I don't see Jerry dumping Bill for a college coach, even someone like Weiss. The season has been a disappointment, but Jerry knows its Bill that created the expectations in the first place.

Of course, if we finish out the next two games like the last 3, I'd lay pretty good odds that Bill packs it in. He knows when the players aren't buying in anymore, and its too late in his career to do major housecleaning here again.

All bets are off for the coaches however. I don't see anyway Zimmer will be re-signed, so the GROZZERs at least have that going for them. Pasqualoni hasn't made much of an impact either, the LB play has been terrible this year. On offense, Jerry has already come out in praise of Sparano, so he will probably stick, not sure about Palmer and Haley who are in charge of the passing game. Clearly Terry Glenn coming out complaining after the Eagles game probably puts them on the hot seat.

Also think the Julius experiment might be over. I can see Jerry pushing to have more control in the draft this year and really pressing for offensive players, particularly trying to get his next Emmit.

the season is a disappointment, before it ends, as we sit 9-5 and clinched a playoff birth mid-december and have found a young QB? LOL

Anyone who wants or endorses Jerruh to involve himself in football operations, is really, really, really, really, really misguided.

Good point. Lets say the past several weeks have been a disappointment. The Colts and 2nd Giants game raised the expectations bar a few notches, and that bar has basically been kicked to the curb the past several weeks.

Anyone who wants or endorses Jerruh to involve himself in football operations, is really, really, really, really, really misguided.

I never said I wanted or endorsed such a thing.

But you know Jerry is looking at underachieving Julius and Spears and Steven Jackson in the Pro Bowl and wondering "What if?"

Like I said, I can see Jerry saying to Bill "OK we've done it your way and invested a ton in the defense, I need some Offensive playmakers to sell tickets."

And even if Bill doesn't come back, unless we get Cowher i don't see a HC available that will have the weight (figuratively) to push back a lot against Jerry if he wants more control.

i didn't insinuate YOU would want JJ to be involved but anyone reading needs to digest the fact the further away JJ is from football operations, the better the 'boys will be.

I like the throwback Uniforms. They have zero to do with what's going on right now.

What I read into Jerra's commens is that T.O. will have to do better. And quickly in the playoffs.
Also, and this is the most intriguing aspect, is that BP will have to do more Jerra's way or else. I see Jerra seeing BP now with less awe and more with a do-it-or-else way.
BP is caught between a rock and a hard place now. He doesn't want to let go of a team with this much potential, but neither does he want to chafe under Jerra's guideance.

Now, how about bringing in a strong GM to look over BP's pudgy shoulders?

After listening to the interview, I think you GROZers can sleep well. Jerry sounded furious about the defensive effort and pointed out that he knows he has better talent there than what we've shown... All while praising Sparano and co. for consistently moving the ball.

He also did sound disappointed and unhappy with Owens. That surprised me.

That is what I took from it as well. He kept mentioning the potential on Defense and the talent.

TO scores the lone Touchdown. I can see where he is the problem.

Yes, he did. And I remember when one Woody Dantzler made an incredible play to run back a kickoff some 90+ yards. Where is he now? Is he even in the league anymore?

My point, lest it be lost on you, is that any player can make one play. TO gets paid ridiculous money to make them consistently. About the only thing he can be trusted to do with any consistency is complain and drop balls.

And for the love of God, can you all just accept that he is but one of MANY problems? Pointing out the issues with TO does NOT mean that's all the problems we have.
