Hands down Dak is better than Purdy

Oh sure, they've been inconsistent due to defensive play at time, but anyone ignoring the fact Dak has also been up and down is just blind. He wasn't very good against the Titans (85 rating) or the Texans (79 rating) and bad against the Skins (45 rating). That's sprinkled in amongst some really good games. That's in the last 8 games. So yeah, he's been inconsistent.

So my point stands. If he plays like he did against the Bucs, they have a great shot to win. If he plays like he did against the Texans or Titans, it's going to be a much tougher game to win. How anyone can disagree with that............ LOL.

that's what makes him not Elite. if he was consistently like the Tampa game (more often) then he would be Elite. with that said, he is more up than down. and his down's outside of Washington game where the whole team sucked coach on down, have not been horrible.

Dak is playoff battle proven and Purdy is a novice with just one win. Purdy won't be able to handle a #1 defense like Dallas. Quinn will have him seeing ghosts.

Based on your logic Chad Pennington (drafted #18 overall) is better than Tom Brady because Brady was drafted in the 6th round.

Dak is in his 7th season whereas Purdy has played 7 games......so stop with the crazy comparison.

if he helps the cowboys win in San Fransisco Dak will have justified the investment for sure and atoned for last year and the other years he underperfomrmed. Your argument about him being better than Allen and Lawrence will have legs then.
One great game is not enough given the buccanneers lost 9 games this year. I know we want to be positive but the reality is we still need more from dak and the team to justify the billing. But i like what i saw against Tampa.

I watched Aikman fall apart when everything wasn't perfect...it was a huge knock on him.

When it was, he was unconscious though.

Every qb in the league plays worse with pressure...it is a team game.

What does his performance 7 years ago have to do with today? I agree that he was not always this cavalier with his throws but his performance since coming back from injury was consistent but for this most recent game.

It's encouraging but he is more likely to return to his recent performance standard as opposed to anything from 7 years ago.

Purdy has caught lightning in a bottle. Frankly almost any QB could look good with the O line and weapons San Fran has on offense. The question is whether the stage will eventually get too big for him as the pressure increases. Some D coordinator is going to figure out a way to hit him in the mouth a few times and see if they can give him a case of the Yips. We haven't seen it so far and he is much more elusive then folks give him credit for. I'm hoping Dan Q can figure out a way. Shanahan is one helluva coach, and I think he will have a plan for almost every situation. That said, Mike Tyson once said everyone has a plan until you hit them in the mouth.

For sure its 1 game at a time right now, and in past years for sure Mahomes is better BUT if he loses his playoff game playing bad the premise still holds.. every QB in the playoffs is only as good as what happened last game because there is no tomorrow to make up for it now.
