This has all been argued in previous threads and now there's pictures. There are even a couple of pictures of the injuries he got.

I've gotten bigger marks just playing with my dogs and I didn't beat the crap out of them.

Yeah I saw the pictures and nothing I saw makes me change my view on it. Imo they look like wounds that you could reasonably argue were self defense. The only thing I'll say for Hardy is he could've walked away. That's what I would've done. Just walk away. Don't get into argument. Just leave. They can't stop you from leaving.

and the piling on continues...

Could say the same thing about AP and the Vikings, Nichols.

4-year old kid viciously beaten with permanent scars. But, that's okay. We forgive him. But not Hardy...he's a Cowboy.

Gutless, lack of integrity hypocrite.

6'4 280lbs man had to defend himself against a 5'7" 110 pound woman ........ I guess Adrian Peterson was just defending himself from that 4 year old.

You people are insane.

Agree. Here is a woman with bruises covering her body and some caveman idiots here think it's cool because she might be crazy. Called bad upbringing

I was thinking that if this thing quietly slipped away over time, resigning him would be smart.

I just don't think this will ever go away and frankly, he might not be worth the bad PR, etc.

Ok, why are people not angry with her? If she really did take the money instead of sending him to prison, then why do you care more than her?

It would have been big news regardless. It's just bigger because it's the Cowboys.

I honestly doubt that.

Like I've been saying...take a look at the Peterson case. 4-year old kid. They showed the permanent scars given to him at 4-years old.

I have never seen any of these people in the media who have been calling for Hardy to NEVER play football again, call for Peterson to never play football again. Not when Peterson's pictures were leaked...not ever.

People don't even recognize Peterson's crime. Probably won't even be mentioned all week.

What makes me believe if Hardy had signed with the Indianapolis Colts that this would have been news if Peterson's case has all been forgotten?

Hardy is arguably the best defensive player in the league.

No way in hell you let a talent like that walk. Who cares about PR? It's about winning championships and Hardy makes us a championship contender.

I'd air quote the "women" angle. she is a coke head - everything she says and does is taken with a huge grain of salt.

Or it's going to tear the team apart. TO was a great player too and look what happened and I'm not comparing the two as far as what they did. It's just that TO was a very divisive person.

The whole league is built on PR. It's the very core of their business. The Cowboys are a $3B entity because of popularity and PR.

As good as he is, Hardy is not the difference between winning a SB and not winning the SB.

I just don't htink it's worth it at this point anymore.

It's the reality of the situation. Fact is, nobody is going to quit watching the game or the team if Hardy signed a $200 million extension.

Just like all of those fans that vowed to stop watching the game when Vick came back. The reality is that none of them left, they just weren't keen on buying Vick's jersey or using him on Madden.

I just dislike the holier than thou attitude from the media and the other fans and love to point out that when AP had a similar crime (IMO, way worse), they let it slide. They are hypocrites and they never cared about Nicole Holder. They never cared about the dogs that Mike Vick tortured and killed. They never cared about Ray McDonald's victims. They never cared that Johnny Jolly was a drug mule and if Aaron Hernandez could be reinstated in the NFL...they would still be watching the game and loving the Patriots.

He absolutely is. are you kidding me?

The Cowboys damn near got to the NFC Championship without him. They had no semblance of a pass rush against the Packers and that is why they lost along with an egregious overturn of a catch. Hardy is one of the truly elite pass rushers in the game. There's no doubt in my mind they win it all last season if he was on the field. The Cowboys will always be a valuable franchise because they're the Dallas Cowboys. People will always watch them. People will probably watch them even more because they want Hardy to fail as well as the team for bringing him back.

If we had Hardy last year, we would have won the SB. So, yeah, he can be the difference between winning a SB and not. He's a PR nightmare, but people will forget.
