Shame on all you so quick to dismiss Greg.

Whatever happened to 2nd changes? And 3rd or 4th chances?

Doesn't helping Hardy become the best person he can be and an advocate against DV mean anything to you guys?

No it doesn't.

His poor production and inability to beat a backup tackle does.

Drink much?

that's about double he should get......

I am guessing you'll be shocked at what free agents get this off-season.

This year represents the most available free agent dollars in the HISTORY of the game.

I think you're on the money here. I think we're all going to be shocked with what some marginal players get paid this year, and stunned by what the 'name guys' receive.

This happens every so often in free agency, and this looks like a year where demand will be much higher than supply. Add to that the cap going up significantly, and the players will be overpaid.

well it aint up to us, it is the jones boys who will decide hardys fate.
I know after the NE game he was double teamed a lot, and then the media stuff seemed to affect his play.

He is close alot, but really doesnt have much help, I know some of DL's sacks were due to hardys play.
I dont think he is worth the 12 mil, but 8 mil doesnt sound like too much.
anyway I will leave that to the jones boys.

No matter how you look at it our DL and pressuring the qb was not that good this year.
Run defense ranged from real good to real bad.

And for Hardy, it depends on how he is used and motivated.
When I re watch the game I will try to look at him, see how he played.

The Cowboys would be smart to let him test the market. He was not a difference maker here, and I'm sure the NFL took notice. There's no reason for the Cowboys to bid against themselves, I doubt that Hardy will get any significant offers, other than incentive based contract. If he gets a blockbuster from another team, just wave bye, bye to him. We have plenty of DL who can be shut out by backups and who can chase the QB without making a play.

He will get at least 12 million a year. Whether it's here or somewhere else.

Hardy had two impressive seasons in Carolina. He's two years removed from that. He's looking at a deal that might be worth 12 mill but would include numerous performance bonuses. He's certainly still a good DE who you have to account for but he's not going to get a huge amount of guaranteed money. He's been a distraction. He's radioactive - some teams aren't going to consider him. He's been relatively unproductive. A minor incident could leverage another suspension.

That's not a guy who is going to generate enough interest to get a huge deal.

Coming from the guy that thinks Moore can replace Romo

It makes me so happy to know that I don't think like you

Edge rushers get paid in the NFL and 8m per and 500 per sack over 12 is a lowball offer. We just paid him 9m coming off the crime of the century.
