A jury found him not guilty. Which means the evidence produced wasn't enough. I'm not condoning domestic violence here by any means so don't take it that way. On thing I will say is those photos don't show what happens to the human body after being thrown around by a man of Greg Hardys size. Im sorry. They don't. The only people who know what really happened are the people there. Hardy and Holder. Period. The media shouldn't be allowed to come out and crucify the guy when a jury of his peers found him not guilty and his record expunged.

No. A jury didn't find him not guilty. His case was dismissed upon appeal. The bench judge found him guilty.

Are you privy to some information I'm not? Can you provide a link that says Hardy was found "not guilty" by a jury?

Thanks.

You seem to keep stating she was paid off as a fact. Where is this fact? A "settlement" was reached. That isnt necessarily a bribe. It literally could have been hardys attorney telling her, you story holds no water and i am going to destroy you on the stand, and the DA agreeing with said attorney. There is no "PROOF" that she was "PAID". So stop stating that it is a fact.

What else do you call a "settlement"? That is lawyer else for a pay off. The mental gyrations folks go through to justify what they want to believe is mind boggling!

Am i the only one who remembers the Kobe Bryant rape case? How did that turn out? She got a nice settlement and told everyone she was full of it. Go figure.

Except everyone knows Kobe bought her off. Same as Rapeslessburger. Same as Michael Corleone before the Senate Committee. No witness, no case.

See, this is the kind of stuff people make up to support their position

Tyke1doe, why try to convince him? He has no clue about what happened. He is making stuff up to support his love of Hardy. A jury of his peers found him not guilty? A settlement is not a pay off? When you take internet opinion and speculation, embellish it, and accept it as gospel, you just prove your desperate hope that you are correct.

You nailed him to the barn door, but he won't quit because he loves Hardy and what's hoped he will bring. He still has not proven to be all that he was purported to be as a player, but some folks don't care. Excuse they are out on a limb for him.

4 sacks and an interception in 4 games. Yeah he's horrible. If a case is dismissed in my opinion it holds no water and is thrown out. That's all I'm trying to say.

I call a settlement anything that forces the opposition into not continuing forward. In this case even if it went to trial he was going to be found not guilty. So what exactly is your point?

It subsided because he apologized, went to a psychologist and said he is learning what he did was wrong and there are better ways to treat his child. He has then played without making dumb comments or making a scene. That's the main difference.

That's what some of the media are criticizing but others are just basically saying that any player with this type of offense should not be allowed to play at all because by not saying that they feel like they are condoning the behavior.

I thought it was interesting. Showtime Inside the NFL, had their lead writer, who happens to be a woman, on for a segment and she basically said that fans, even her, are not willing to stop watching football or take any real action to go along with their words.

The media needs the Cowboys to be relevant and the social media gives everyone their own soapbox of righteousness

I accept the fact that you misspoke about him being found "not guilty."
It happens to all of us. No need to play the "gotcha" game.

Guilty or not, I have a hard time understanding the guy's motivation for doing this right now. It's just dumb.

If he were truly not guilty, or if he truly believes his side of the story is not being told fairly, his choices are to just let it go because it's the smart PR thing to do, or to fight it every step of the way because he's a fighter and he doesn't care. Keeping quiet during the whole offseason and then starting up the bipolar I'm sorry/no I'm not stuff now of all times doesn't make a lot of sense.

If he's guilty and he knows it, then doing this is just stupid any way you look at it.

The only thing that makes sense is the idea that the guy thinks he's not getting treated fairly and he's going back and forth between listening to his agent and the team's advice and getting angry and popping off again. In which case, he's really emotionally volatile to the point where you have to factor that significantly into any deal you put on the table.

That's my biggest issue. If he wants to go with the I didn't do it card. Fight it just not thru the media or social media

If he wants to "fight" it, he needs to do an OJ/Ed Gordon type interview where he goes through the relationship, the break up, the incident two nights before the main incident and the incident in question. He needs to use one of the media's own to tell his side of the story and be willing to admit where he fell short. Otherwise, all he is doing is pissing in the wind and no one that has decided that he is guilty and unredeemable will be willing to listen.

smh...

You did see the pictures right? Of Nicole Holder? Bruises all over her body?

C'mon man...even if she instigated the fight-- a man who is 280lbs has no business throwing around a woman. Ever. I swear-- if Hardy was signed by the NYG or Philly this offseason most of his "defenders" would be standing up and moralizing about how bad those front offices are for signing a creep.

Another broad generalization based on no facts.
You fit in well.

I've read all of the accounts I could get my hands on. I'm pretty sure he is not totally innocent; he at the absolute very least did shove her hard a few times.
Nobody (including her) has ever said he hit her, and it seems most people around hear have at least stopped saying that. Not the media though.
I'm just not sure he did all that she claims he did, but he was no choir boy either.
In any case, the guy has some anger issues he needs to deal with.

If he was going to be found not guilty at trial, why did he pay her to not show up? My point is that you are talking nonsense rather than admit that you have been wrong.

It's common for things to get settled all the time because its cheaper and just better to move on. A settlement doesnt mean one is guilty.

Some times in life its a matter of knowing which battles are worth fighting.
