He shouldn't even have made the flight

Then there are those who had never seen Weeden play until this year. He has been terrible for a long time and Jerry and the staff should have known better than to give him a contract. But then again Jerry is the same guy who gave Ryan Leaf and Chad Hutchinson contracts. Are you suggesting that Weeden is just as good as any other backup in the league? That's funny.

He's as good as many backups. There is no doubt about that. Backups in this league generally stink. There are maybe 20 guys in the league who are quality starting QBs. Then you've got 12 starters who are pretty much terrible. Then you've got 32 backups behind that group.

The best you can reasonably hope for is that a backup might steal a game or two. We put Weeden in against the team with the best record in the NFL.

You just have zero context to understanding what you can expect from a backup.

Weeden is 5-15 as a starter in the NFL. The only people who would overlook this kind of record are his parents. Good job trying to cover up the fact that he still sucks papa Weeden. A backup should be able to complete passes to wide open receivers. Shouldn't a backup also understand when to lead a receiver and when to throw to the back shoulder? I guess Nick Foles, Colt McCoy, Austin Davis, Michael Vick and many others didn't receive the memo. Backups are supposed to suck!? Please move on before you make yourself look any more foolish.

5-14 with a crap team behind him. 0-1 with a good one. Stupid people ignore sample size and context

lol, are you suggesting Weeden is a good QB? That is laughable. I find it funny that you want to discount the role of a backup QB when 95% of the QB's in the league start out as backups. Move away from the pipe papa Weeden. Baby Weeden should be flipping burgers but he would probably get fired from that job for serving up the wrong burgers. Weeden was a big part of the problem not the solution in Cleveland who by the way is 6-3 with Hoyer this year and without their number one receiver (yup bad team). How does that happen? Just mention Brandon Weeden's name to a Brown's fan and they will immediately erupt with laughter. He was a failure in baseball and is a failure in football, get over it. You are arguing over a guy that is 5-15 and I'm the dumb one? lmao.
