Not to throw gas on this fire, but a little birdie told me yesterday that Buffalo is asking what it would take to get Julius.

I'm not saying there is anything to it, just passing along the info.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I'm partial to Oreos. With milk. IF they're willing - so am I.

Makes no sense, though. Deal McGahee, and then try to deal for a guy who has been similarly productive with an expiring contract? Someone check Levy's metamucil.

they got rid of McGahee, as far as I know, cause he's a prick who didn't like Buffalo...I also remember some of their fans saying he doesn't try very hard. Julius doesn't have those problems

plus, Levy's like a thousand years old and really shouldn't be in charge of a football team now. I'd say they're a perfect target for a trade up

Apparently Denver wants to get ahead of buffalo to get patrick willis. And apparently Houston is the team that is willing to deal with them.

If denver jumped to 10, I think that would be great for us. If Adrian Peterson falls to 10 and then Denver moves into that spot he would at least make it to 11, I dont think San francisco would take him.

So that leaves buffalo and then maybe it really will be time to figure out how bad we want Peterson, if he is there.

22=780
12=1200

so 420 Has to be made up. that would cost us our 2nd(370) and 4th(50).

So the question is Can julius jones recoup a 2nd and a 4th? Can he recoup a 3rd and a 5th? or is he only worth a 4th on draft day?

Very intersting to me, if julius could recoup a 2 or a 3 and 5 and you can get peterson from buffalo for the 22, 53 and 122 it would be something to think about.

So lets hope if they do want peterson that:

The Browns take quinn.
Houston doesnt want peterson
Houston and denver swap for willis if still there.

Just throwing it out there, what I heard, its a rumour from nfl sirius radio, please dont take this fact or hype...Just passing along something I heard which could lead to something I think!

Nothing like a rumor. Nothing like speculation of trading away a proven veteran for an unproven rookie coming off of an injury.

Nothing like going for a RB when we already have two veterans and nothing like neglecting our needs in the secondary and WR corps.

As for Houston's dismal drafting in the past, they now have a real coach and they are hurting from the Bush/Vince Young debacles. They's learned their lessons. So, no soap, bub.

Hey, I heard a rumor involving us jumping to the No. 1 pick . . . details to come.:laugh2:

huh...I had no idea. I just remember their draft last year (Whitner in top 10, McCargo in 20s) and them signing some scrub guard right off the bat in FA...

even still, I like to dislike the Bills, they're the closest team to where I live and everyone's a fan of them but me

ITs a good point, but I think he just fell out of favor with the coaches and his teammates and then blasted the city and the people there.

I mean saying "they should just move the team to toronto" is not exactly trying to fit into the western new york community.

I am in the minority, but I like their commitment to young players. I think they are going to benefit from letting the veterans that they let go this season. Clements will be hard to replace but I think the youth there is a good thing for that organization. Using middle of the road veterans is spinning their wheels. They needed another lineman like us so they were forced to over pay.

Losman and evans are pretty good players. levy didnt draft them, but building around them with young players is a good thing.

Yes I do, Peterson like any football player can get injured yet none of the injuries are types of injuries that would present a problem down the road. High Ankle sprain most RB will deal with that from time to time. Broken collar bone it can happen. This ideal that Peterson is some fragile guy is BS. This is football injuries are part of the game.

I agree...but as many "experts" have even stated, his running style promotes injuries. I don't see it being worth giving up half the Boys draft to strengthen an area that's already strong especially with a player that has more question marks then the player he would possibly be replacing.

If this draft wasn't so weak in rb prospects, I personally don't see AP being a top 10 pick as he is currently slated.

Strengthen the other areas like pass coverage, Oline, and wr before looking to add to a rb core that's already established. Yeah, JJ isn't a superstar, but he is productive enough to get the job done especially pairing with M. Barber.

Yeah - I see why they got rid of McGahee. I just don't see why they would want Julius - particularly when they're likely to have their choice of Peterson or Lynch, even if they move down. Unless they really want a LB. I would think the guy who benefitted from Thurman Thomas would realize what a great running and passing threat from the RB position does for you.

Gosh I hope they make a play for Julius and we somehow get Peterson. I kid you not, bricks will fall from my butt.

I understand that yet the injuries he had, had nothing to do with his running style. High ankle sprain took place when a player rolled up on his ankle and the broken collar bone took place when he hit the ground. As far as his ability I disagree I think he would have gone as a top pick regardless of how rich the RB crop was this year. The guy has excellent talent with power to run between the tackle and speed to hit the outside. As for Jones I like him but if I have a chance to get an elite back over an average back I'll take elite.

Again, I would rather the Boys trade down, get more picks this year that would fill various weak areas this year and obtain additional picks next year to possibly draft a rb like:

Darren McFadden, Ark.

Ray Rice, Rutgers

James Davis, Clemson

Steve Slaton, West Va.

Jamaal Charles, Texas

Arian Foster, Tenn

Brandon Ore, Va.Tech

Ian Johnson, Boise St

Ahmad Bradshaw, Marshall

Mike Hart, Mich.

Darius Walker, ND

Touche. I'd ask how it happened but I don't really want to know...I'll just assume you owed the Freemasons money.

The Bills need a LB as badly as they need a RB after losing London Fletcher and Takeo Spikes this offseason, and there are a lot of reports that Levy has fallen in love with Paul Posluszny the way he fell in love with Whitner last year. If they could get a Posluszey or a Willis at #12 and then trade a mid round pick for someone like Julius, that would probably be ideal for them.
