In all honesty, I'd be fine with Phillips as DC. It's obvious that the defense got a boost after he took over the reins from Stewart.

I'm not convinced of Shanny being HC, though. It's the sensible thing to do and I just don't see Jerry doing it.

ESPN has an article up that says Jerry Jones made the choice of letting Stewart go after the season, but Phillips talked him into waiting on the announcement, so Stewart could secure another job.

The article states that Jerry Jones would have been willing to cut Terrell Owens to accomodate Jason Garrett, but Jones wouldn't be willing to fire Wade Phillips.

The article states that Jones was willing to do everything to keep Garrett in Dallas, short of firing Phillips.

It goes on to say that Garrett wouldn't put Jerry Jones in such a position to choose between himself and Phillips.
