I've said all along: JJ said Wade would be back: I just don't remember him saying it would be as Head Coach. Fingers and toes crossed.............

Wade was in coaching hell last season, but he's VERY close to turning this defense around..............this is getting good................as Willie Wonka once said....'The suspense is killing me.....I hope it lasts'

Dallas was 9th in the NFL in 2007.

The Cowboys were 8th in the NFL in 2008. They were # 4 against the pass and led the league in sacks. The defense needs safety help, and they need an offense that isn't ranked number 2 in turnovers.

All in all, what this really tells me is that this organization needs a drastic overhaul from top to bottom.

I know we can't all have Jeff Fishers that hang around for years, but Jimmy and Jerry parting ways was the single worst decision ever made by this organization (yes, even bigger than Landry being let go). We've been in a spiral ever since (should we really credit Switzer for '95?)

I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe this time we can finally get the continuity and chemistry we've been lacking for so many years. It sounds terrible, but I just don't have faith in JJ that he can do it.

He was let go January 7th, today is the 16th. That's 10 days if you count the 7th. Off by one day? I don't care. Sounds right.

Divide the staff? Because there was nothing new going to come out? I assume some would think no reason to. Maybe others didn't.

The truly ironic thing to me is that Jerry Jones literally brought this team back from obscurity and 15 years of frustration, and then add a little ego and alcohol and he sends it back there for almost as long as the previous dry spell.

I still say Jerry changed in 2003 with the hiring of Parcells and became a good GM.

ESPN has an article up that says Jerry Jones made the choice of letting Stewart go after the season, but Phillips talked him into waiting on the announcement, so Stewart could secure another job.

The article states that Jerry Jones would have been willing to cut Terrell Owens to accomodate Jason Garrett, but Jones wouldn't be willing to fire Wade Phillips.

The article states that Jones was willing to do everything to keep Garrett in Dallas, short of firing Phillips.

It goes on to say that Garrett wouldn't put Jerry Jones in such a position to choose between himself and Phillips.

I'm not sure what the hell is happening right now but, I think, change is good. This team needs a bit of a shake up. If the personnel was not going to change, then it had to be coaching. We probably need a bit of both. Regardless, one thing is clear....
