Henson-Its time to go

The Answer said:
That's behind the scenes type of stuff, why would Parcells or JJ publicly state that even if it were true?

"Yes we sent Henson to to the NFLE because he's a bust and isn't going to make this roster."

If anything they would feed the media fluff and tell them that Henson asked to go there, but guess what they have yet to verify these claims either. Nor have they gave a 'ringing' endorsement that he has a future with this franchise or the NFL....these are just facts, so don't hate The Answer for stating The Truth....

You have not given 1 single fact Your giving your opinions which is a lot different than fact.

And a lot less interesting.

This is what all of you have failed to address in all 14 pages of this.

1) If Henson is so good, then why is he #3 on the depth chart?
-Thats why I am calling for his head... There are better #2 backup qb's that will be on the wire soon. I truly believe that. And I said 2, that means true backups will be available soon. Not 3's.

2) If his numbers severely dwindle with a minor injury in NFL-E, then you think he is ready for a full NFL schedule?
-Peyton Manning or Tom Brady play with pain and still produce Pro-Bowl numbers.. Henson is a great athlete but I think his window has closed as an NFL QB, unless Bledsoe and Romo break their legs in practice, he will never get enough practice to get ready. That means its time to go IMO

3) The story that started this thread came right out of cowboys camp. Nick Eatman ow *** his name is. I believe it is a bit of foreshadowing on the part of the DC's part to let him know he has to step up or hit the road jack. And that may be driven directly by BP himself. We all know how he likes vet qb's and I am sure he truly believes that he can find a better vet backup that could win some games if we get in a Bledsoe injury situation better than some former qb/baseball player that has proven time and again that rust is too hard to get rid of at the qb spot.

Because some of us do not beleive you give up on raw talent after 2 years, sorry if you can't figure that out. Dallas did not sign him to 8 years to cut him after only 2 season.

In the same article:

"But it's easy to see why the Cowboys decided against selecting another young quarterback this year.

Chances are, even a first-round pick would not have beaten out Bledsoe for the starting job. And a quarterback drafted in the second round would have had difficulty overtaking Romo and Henson for the backup spot. And remember, the Cowboys aren't ready to give up on either of those two just yet. "

Seems the experiment is FAR from over for those who call the shots.

This is what you have failed to address so far in your rants. 2006 has not started yet. The depth chart is not set. Until it is, people are allowed their opinions.

Yep, those are the key words. You think. It doesn't appear the Dallas Cowboys agree. In fact, if you bothered to pay attention it sounds like they're pretty pleased.

The "story" was one blurb in an entire article. Did you read all of it or see the blurb and got excited?

How's the new forum coming? Need any help?

Hypothetically what about #3.

We are sitting in 1st in the East, Bledsoe twaks an ankle and we need a backup for 2 games.

Are you ready to see Henson or Romo, or would you rather see someone with some game experience hold the ship for two games so we can continue a SB run?

Slam dunk.

I'd rather see Henson, but I'd be fine with Romo. They both need some battle scars beyond splinters.

and we lose thosee 2 games then how would you feel?
I'd feel bad. Same way I'd feel if we lost them no matter who was at QB.

Tell me does Kerry Collins ensure we win those games? Does anyone?

If a QB were unbeatable he'd be a starter not a backup.

Just out of curiosity since this is the tack you've chosen to take, why did you focus on 1 of the backup QBs and not both? I mean, after all, you just basically panned both of them as being unfit to lead yet this thread is about 1 guy.

Pretty transparent bro.

I think you guys better read the sig line.

Run the ball and play defense. With our unproven line and Henson or Romo at the helm, do you think we can run the ball then?

I know one thing TO will eat Henson and Romo for lunch with his mouth....

Our defense better be Doomsday this year, if god forbid, anything happens to Bledsoe and we dont pick up a sold backup QB.

Can't lose if the other team doesn't score I guess.

Neither Henson nor Romo can hand the ball off?

Link?

because from what I read it seems they are pretty happy with Romo. Maybe a vet backup can't overtake Romo? Don't know. But since Henson is #3 and we pick up a vet backup then its obvious Henson goes....

Maybe you should call Big Bill and explain this to him. I'm sure he'd see the logic of it. Want the phone number?

well u see its basic football.

Backup QB=Stack the line

Make them prove they can pass. I mean if i was a D coord for an opposing team. That is what I would do. So with an unproven line can we run the ball on a stacked line. No. There aren't many teams perios that can get + yards on a stacked line. Any defense stacked line.

A couple of bad throws TO will be in their head talking about man I have single coverage and you can't get the ball to me....

you know how he does it...

Even better, you can replace Mike Zimmer.

I love how these guys made an NFL roster and some people think they can be stopped quite easily like they have no skill at all. Forget that offenses can adjust too. Forget that they are pros. forget that we have one games with the likes of Kevin Sweeney and Clint Stoerner. Classic.

Chicken Little rules.

One word answer YES or NO

Do you honestly believe that Henson is better upside and present, than any qb that could be had on the wire this year?

You honestly believe that Henson could win that 9-10th game for us to guarantee a spot in the playoffs? Better than any vet could....

I love how this is going to turn out. I can already see it.

Yes.

Ok fine My answer is

emphatically NO

If Dallas wants to keep one of these guys as the possible future, then choose one and go with it. I am fine with that. I want to see a vet backup. The time is now. We are poised for a serious run and i would feel a whole lot better having some experience come in there, rather than 2 unprovens.

BTW if Romo was #3 on the chart I would have started this thread as Romo has to go. I want a vet backup, since the time is now and I don't want to spoil it with a rookie back there.

Or just pray every week that Bledsoe never gets hurt.... Which is very very apparent will be the case all year!!!!!!!!
