As I said before, I am really surprised they didn't give you guys more notice. I can assure you they made this decision weeks ago as there no way to organize the logistics for a move, hosting changes, DNS changes, etc. in a corporation as large as the Cowboys in a day or two. Maybe they just forgot, or maybe they didn't want to give you guys time to complain.

Regardless, it would have been more respectful to at least give you guys a few days to a week to make sure everyone knew about it and where people were going. Given it's the off-season for the Cowboys now, I am sure a lot of fans only check in every so often so they're going to be shocked to find the site gone now.

But, all that's neither here or there. We all want to help make this place great. We're all Cowboys fans. After this love fest we'll start sniping about Dak, and Jerry, and Garrett. I'll say really dumb things that are partly sarcastic partly unhinged mania and partly sage wisdom. It'll become home, I hope.

I look forward to it. I usually watch the games on my couch with the wife and a lot of booze and assorted snacks, but I'll always check in.

I gotta admit membership is @ 36,306 now and the last time I can verifiably recall checking on that 4-6 months ago it was hovering right around 35,100,, that is a substantial influx or uptick in membership.

Should be even higher if everyone came over, but I don't think that'll happen. A lot of the DC Forum was drive by traffic.

I am interested in what will happen with the traditional and well loved trolls. I saw one with a thread here, but won't name and shame in case of a new leaf being turned. A lot of the old school Eagles fans that used to be hot and heavy like Driver, C.42, and StineSteen are going to be left out I guess.

true. We had a few of them and a few foreskins fans that were decent people on the sportsline cowboys board. I just don't trust people from, or who cheer for a team from, filthydelphia

Just want to let you know that we very much appreciate this place, and will do our darndest to make it even better. I deeply appreciate that. It's a substantial change. Though, as I say, I spotted at least one that made the jump, but there's the beauty of a new beginning for everyone to be who they are.

I almost didn't take it the first time. Basically, your posting life changes when you're a mod. How people view you, how people talk to you. Some will absolutely hate you just because of it. Some will resent authority, some will make plans behind the scenes to gang up on you. Some are afraid of you, and many many try to push you just to see how far they can.

All in all, it is a duty, one that I respect highly. I am truly here to have fun, to respect the guidelines. To meet up w/ old friends and make new ones.

Absolutely no brown nosing here, I truly appreciate this site and what it is. It's a place to weather the storm, to meet w/ friends, old and new. To share a common bond, to celebrate the victories and commiserate on the bad stuff.

Everyone I've met here so far has been friendly and helpful. I look forward to a long, fruitful relationship.

Funny thing is, they also failed to announce the previous site changes. It's been literally here one day gone the next, for the 3rd time. I've come to the conclusion that they just don't care.
