Okay, let's play Dre.

You brought up that Thornhill and Rapp got it easy because they got on the field.

Tell me about Hill.

Tell me exactly why he couldn't get on the field.

Because our defensive tackles are so dominant....... oops.

D-law showed promise early in his career. It was only his third year where he was suspended 4 games under the "enhanced drug policy" and had a back injury the entire year.

Dlaw was not a late bloomer by any definition.

But lets move on. Its clear your not interested in having a discussion, simply pushing home a point that isn't accurate.
We are having a discussion lol. That does not equate to me magically seeing your point as a valid one nor you seeing mine as a valid point. Boards are made for opinions like....Byron Jones late bloomer due to playing out of position.....Taco Charlton was a late bloomer due to playing out of position....ect ect

Now Jones was a late bloomer. Taco just sucked and will always suck.

Lawrence was balling from the moment he hit the field. 10 sacks in his first 15 games in his first two years.

Who were the two highly ranked safeties we passed on in the 2nd round that dropped to us? Anyone know how these guys are doing with their respective teams this year?
It does not matter. The Cowboys did not give a first round pick to the Dolphins for Minkah Fitzpatrick the best S prospect.

Jimmy Johnson new when to trade for a player and why. He needed a DT he traded for Tony Casillas who was in contract year. He traded for Thomas Everett S who was in a contract year. Fitzpatrick has 3 years left on a rookie deal and Jason Garrett did not pay attention or was ignored as Nick Saban said Minkah Fitzpatrick was the best player he ever coached. Saban coaching specialty under Belichick was DBs.

So far Fitzpatrick and Taco Charlton are proving that Jerry Jones is the worst GM in NFL history that can not be fired.

I agree. If someone is asking who took these guys and where they play that is pretty sad considering half the NFL season is over.
Well maybe because the guy asking has a life...and doesn't have time to follow players who make no contribution to the Cowboys...like me....I don't care what these players are doing...only what the current Cowboys players are doing...I see nothing wrong with his question.

Drafting Taco was a monster mistake.

Mikah is a stud and they screwed that one up.

Hill was a big reach, I remember being so excited when the Cowboys pick came up and they had their choice of safeties. Then Hill was selected and I was dumbfounded. It is Hill's first year so hopefully he will improve and demonstrate why he was the right pick. Not off to a good start though.

Buying a Taco is not a mistake unless you don't use it as soon as you buy it and let it go stale. You always keep to the 3 yr rule especially with linemen. He has 4 sacks in 6 games.

Regarding Minkah Fitzpatrick, when the head coach you worked for who is the Man tells you that someone is the man, then you trade for the Man. Fitzpatrick is having All Pro Stats and the Steelers are 4-2 and 3 in a row with Fitzpatrick.

But this is crying over spilled milk like "we got Mossed!" Moving on and hope for Berry or next year's Safety.

You are assuming because he has 4 sacks that he has been good for Miami. Which would be false.

This is incorrect. 3 sacks in his first 15 games if you include 2 playoff games. 1 sack in first 15 if you don’t...

Lawrence flashed in the playoffs as a rookie but didn’t “ball” until the 2nd half of his 2nd year. That being said, I agree that he still shouldn’t be considered a late bloomer.

Screw the safeties. We could have Cooper, Gallup and DK Metcalf as our top 3 WR's for the next several years.

Have to agree. He wasn't a late bloomer. He flashed and flashed immediately.
He was more derailed, but you could see the talent right at the top when on the field.
That's the difference.

And, as a side note, DLaw went and started to perfect his technique while injured and you can see it.
His game will age well.

Pretty solid?
Williams is depth and occasional fill in

Awuzie gets his lunch eat on a regular basis

Smith, yes he's top notch starter...agreed

Gregory prefers weed over NFL career....he will never see the field again

Dlaw hit the lottery and disappeared.

Hill will likely be out of the league in a couple of years due to lack of a work ethic.

I don't see the 2nd round as being that stellar.
Yes solid. You provide a pessimistic view. Like I said, 2 pro bowlers and 2 more starters. That's pretty good haul from 5 picks. When the normal NFL success rate is only 50%.

He was suspended the 1st half of his 2nd year.

Yeah, but he wouldn't have been available. Someone would've thrown a pick at him in the mid/late rounds due to his freakish first step.
That’s what we should’ve done. The Chiefs has to think they won the ****** lottery when we took Bad Hair Hill.

I have to admit, whenever I pop my head out from under my rock, I watch as much football as I can, and have not heard any of those guys names come up.
