He's blaming the defense because that is what Garrett did. Lack of turnovers is the biggest difference between last year and this year in Garrett mind.

Every game we had a chance to win this year...the offense hung the defense out to dry. Usually with the defense unable to hold a 12 - 9 lead...as if 12 points should be enough to win in 2015!

Apparently, the offense can commit close to 30 TOs with the season not yet over, but defense has to keep up that pace, while the offense dabbles in going nowhere other than giving it back to the other team, who isn't at all threatened by the Cowboy's offense to even play risky..

This team keeps talking about TO differential, but it's only in respect to the defense generating TOs and not offense committed by close to 30 TOs with games still left to play..

And we are playing CONSERVATIVE and trying to run the ball a lot...

Garrett is one of the worst, if note absolute worst, coach in the NFL..

Just because I don't agree with your conclusion about Jason Garrett, I'm going to flee? Quite a reach there Redball. I'm a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, not necessarily t he coach.

As for being patient, which is really the outlier, last year's 12-4 season or the previous THREE seasons of 8-8. Cowboys current 4 win season just brings Jason back to the mean. The guy is the epitome of average.

How many assistant coaches has he jettisoned but results stay the same? Must we go a FULL decade of mediocrity before we can say enough is enough?

I think my point here is..

Jerrah is the common denomenator unfortunately.

Or fortunately.

I believe Jerrah is just good and bad.

He's great as an owner.

Not so great as a GM.

But you can't separate it.

So we deal with it.

Laying the blame at Garrett's feet is the same as with Parcells, then Phillips and now Garrett.

Any coach who coaches in Dallas has to deal with and win inspite of the hierarchy.

Garrett is guilty of wanting to coach. His style frustrates at times but like with all the coaches before him..

Jerrah carries a heavy hand.

Frankly, I wish he had drafted Manziel last year when he had the chance to address the QB situation.

He got over ruled by Stephen. Doubt he gets talked out of it this year.

If he fixes that..Garrett could be looking alot different very soon.

Jerry is making stupid decisions, because he's surrounded by people who are leaching off him without accomplishing anything.

Jim Garrett hasn't done jack squat for this organization for over twenty plus years. His only remnant of success is being here when Jimmy Johnson was.
The guy was a bum HC at Columbia and sons followed him there when he became HC. Larry Lacewell was another one of these first-time personnel guys that hasn't helped.

And who even knows what Stephen Jones contributes? This guy has been alongside these guys and seems to be Jason's biggest supporter in this organization.. At least though, he's sound financially with the cap and is Jerry's son.

.

Huh? Wade and Parcells have tremendous track records in coaching, while Garrett had two years as a QB coach. Wade was interfered with for Garrett, meaning Jerry have Garrett too much leeway. Garrett's father is a close friend of Jerry, Judd and John are and were in significant positions in this organization and all the positions coaches are Garrett hires. Romo wasn't even involved in game planning, until Jerry gave him the big contract and started taking play calling away from Garrett, because he sucked so bad at it.

The fact is, we had the most opportune time to win the SB when we had Romo, but Jerry decided that this was the main opportune time to get his clown coach to train to make him get the credit he never had with Jimmy and curtailed the organization down the path of mediocrity with a potential HOF QB... Guys like Wade, he was just using to tinker with and make his defense great and let go, once it was there..

Jason Garrett is the absolute worst decision this franchise has made..

As I said..

Jerrah is the common denominator to me.

The rest..

are sort of interchangable.

The fact that you wanted Manziel over Martin is a conversation ender for me. Let's agree to disagree about about Garrett's ability vs accountability.
