Conspiracy stuff? There's no conspiracy. They lost confidence in him and that's very much warranted. I'm just saying it's silly to trot a receiver out there that you're going to intentionally avoid.

If RW shows up big in the playoffs, everyone forgets about the lackluster regular season.

Until Roy Williams' less than stellar play actually costs us a game, I don't really care what he does. 7 TD catches is not bad stuff at all. He and Miles Austin combining for 18 TDs? I like.

I think it's pretty obvious that either Tony, Garrett, or both decided he wasn't getting the ball on Sunday. I don't care if that's what they decide to do, but if it is, get someone else on the field.

There were times he'd have single coverage or be running wide open and they just would not throw the ball his way. Frustrating to see that as an on-looker. It's hard to complain about the offensive performance, but if you're not using all your tools, it is frustrating.

Roy may be the hero this Saturday. I'm sure he's better than he has looked.

Nothing would make me happier than to see Roy Williams succeed here and I will be rooting for him as long as he is a Cowboy, but there comes day when you gotta call it like you see it and move on. That day is fast approaching if Roy doesn't start performing better.

No conspiracy, just no performance and hence no confidence. If Roy wasn't such a costly embarrassment to Jerry, he wouldn't even be given the compulsory snaps. Romo has earned the right to not throw to someone that he doesn't trust.

Simple fact: we win when we don't try to throw to Roy too much. I do think that he is good inside the 20, when he can use his size and isn't required to adjust too much. I actually think that they will use him a lot this week.

No, you said they decided before the game not to throw to Roy - there is no evidence at all that any such decision was made.

Maybe Roy wasn't open in the window in which Romo could throw it or maybe he was in the wrong spot. Maybe Romo wasn't sure if Roy was going to make the right choice on an option route and went elsewhere.

We do know Roy caught no passes. The one time Roy was targeted he was on a totally different wavelength from Romo on an important 3rd down, I think.

I am not denouncing Romo at all. I just doubt Romo went out of his way not to throw Roy the ball. In the heat of the battle, if he can't trust him, that's a different issue altogether, of course.

I think that he doesn't even really genuinely look at Roy too much any more, regardless of how open he may or may not be.

The guy has 7 TD's. The crap he was getting yesterday from Joe Buck is unbelievable. The media treats him like they treated T.O. except he isn't falling into the trap.

I can understand some fans overreacting and wanting us to cut him after this year. Just like Anthony Spencer or Mike Jenkins last year.

But I heard Calvin Hill on the radio today saying that the whole Roy Williams situation was a failure. He said he thinks we should cut him (and Martellus Bennett for that matter). 7 TD's in his first full year people...Rediculous.

Calvin Hill is an Ivy Leaguer and intelligent man and since he works for the team probably knows a little more about the situation than rest of us posting on this board. RW is 6 years in the league and 1 1/2 years in this offense, likely this is as good as it gets, an occasional red zone threat. The play of Phillips at TE will likely give Jerry the idea of revisiting moving Marty B. Doubt you get offered a number one for him now. Unless of course the concussion made him forget how to catch the ball.

I dont see how any football fan can be serious and say that cause he's too talented

What ??????????

What of my statement do you not understand or need explaining? People are bashing him and saying he's pretty much garbage when that aint the fact and any football expert would agree even with how he's been playing this season. The outrage besides of how much we gave up for him is steaming because he's playing no where near what he's capable of playing. We as fans are angry at his drops because his hands and catching ability are whats suppose to seperate him from other WRs. So to go along with the rest of my statement that you left out of your highlight qoute of me he doesnt SUCK as a football player but is SUCKING with his play this season because he has the talent to do so much more.

Why would you wait for him to cost us a game when the rest of the receivers offer you better options? No 2nd chances in the playoffs.

I think that we have been seeing this in the past few games, Tony doesn't want to chance a series on Roy anymore. Roy got a few chances in Washington and on average failed and then really wasn't given any last week. I get the feeling that Roy will get some Red Zone throws this week, and Tony might come back to him if he is totally ignored by the defense, but I'm pretty sure Roy's snap count will continue to dwindle.

He's a Cowboy, thus I'm a fan. I will be until he's not and I will root for him every week.

This what I dont get with some Cowboy fans. The guys here. He's not a piece of trash thug. He isnt a quitter. He isnt a lockerroom cancer. Yet I see more people genuinely hope this guy fails than you'd ever think possible.

I still believe there's going to come a point when he make a really huge play to change a game, or maybe has a huge game altogether.

This season hasnt been what many of us hoped for, but it doesnt mean he wont ever work out here. Players do have off years and come back strong. Maybe he can do that in 2010.

For now, I'm hoping he helps us win in January and hopefully February.

Like I posted in another thread. If I'm Jerry I give him one more season to perform at a satisfactory level. If he does I keep him. If not I show his *** the door.

McDermott said he was more worried about Crayton than Roy. Crayton is a very good #3, but a mediocre at best #2. That's not good of Roy. If he wants to stay on the team for a couple more seasons he needs to produce more. Otherwise he needs to get the hell out of Dallas and go back to the Lions.

Jerry has already paid for his next season so he is going to want to bring Roy back for another look before deciding to jettison him. This part is fine with me. I just don't want the #2 spot automatically given to him. It should be an open competition and there should be a bit of a rotation (maybe the preseason winner takes 60-70% of the snaps to begin the year) amongst the top 2 guys here until one clearly wins out during the season.

The thing is that McDermott was right and Crayton still burned him for 99 yards and a TD.

Meanwhile, he didn't worry too much about defending Roy and Roy went out and put up a donut.

The media is looking for a story, RW is not going to give them one. To me RW is doing other things that make this offense click. RW still gets doubled. He was the reason Patrick Crayton was open for that TD in the back of the endzone on Sunday. Did you every wonder how PC got so open? It was because of RW- look at the replay. The DB had to stay down in the flats to cover Roy. That's just one play, but there are others. So he may not have the numbers we'd like to see, but he more than makes up for it IMHO.

...that both Romo and Garrett consider Austin, Witten and Crayton before Williams. Call it a loss of confidence or whatever, but he isn't getting alot of targets.

This past game it was really sad to see what this issue has become in the second half. After his public declaration in the media he was sat down in favour of other players.

This is not good. I can't help, but feel that Garrett is now developing some special packages for Ogletree to use in the upcoming Philly game to the detriment of Roy Williams.

If we see a repeat of the 2nd half of the week 17 I would guess it doesn't bode well for Roy this year.
