Jarran Reed is a Haloti Ngata type of disrupter in the middle of the defensive line. You just can't move the guy. He's nasty too. He'd be one of the leaders of our defense going forward.

I think Robinson and Reed is a coin flip. Both are animals.

Fine with Zeke.

Not happy that we left the Baltimore trade on the table that Scheffer reported.

I read they wanted zeke. Of course they wouldn't take a trade that made them loose out on their favorite pick

Once Goff in particular and Wentz were out of the equation, the top of this draft became a bit meh for me. My third option was always trade down. Am a bit annoyed they didn't do it. I don't have too much of an issue taking Elliott, but only because of the situation he's coming into, and because it's a weak draft with not many guys that really jump out at you. I think he can replicate what Murray did. But I'm not excited by it at all, because he's not a top 5 runner in a normal draft, like a Peterson or Gurley.

I said yesterday I would have gone Ramsey, ask the same question today I would have gone with Ramsey. I'm not mad about Dallas getting Elliott I think he is an extremely talented player who should be able to come in day 1 and help this team. Face it with the 4th pick in the draft there was still a lot of prospects out there people liked and were very talented, but because I did not get the guy I wanted does not mean I don’t like Elliott. I look forward to seeing him with the star on the helmet.

I was against taking Zeke and wanted Ramsey. As far as helping the team Zeke he eas the best pick, he will me a nightmare for opposing teams. I just don't like the age that backs are in the prime for. I just don't see him being a decade type player.

Zeke is 20. Not farfetched to see him be productive until 30.

We offered a 4 and the Broncos countered with a 3..............that was too rich for us, so we backed out.

Smart move, I would have been beyond pissed if we would have traded a high 2nd and a high 3rd for a player that is not going to see the field for several years.

I don't get pissed when you essentially give up a 3rd rounder for you future franchise QB with Lynch's talent and skill sets.

Something tells me that John Elway knew exactly what he was doing.

didnt Rawls go to Michigan before going Central Michigan?

He ended up at CMU. So he wasn't a Big-10 RB. Your other RB's have not shown anything, yet. The Big-10 was a joke this season and we just took their star RB who played in an Urban Meyer system that was surrounded by far superior talent (Ohio State owned the first round of the draft).

There are far too many red flags to be anywhere near that confident about Lynch. To me he was a clear tier below Goff and Wentz. He's not much less of a project than some of the other higher upside QB's remaining on the board.

Goff fumbles...a lot. He's going to have completely re-work his body and I don't think his pocket presence is as good as Mayock thinks it is. And 97% of his snaps came from the shotgun and the audibles were called from the bench. Wentz has all of the footwork mechanics issues that Lynch has and a longer release (and lower release point). He doesn't throw nearly as well on the underneath routes as Lynch (few do) and I don't think he throws the deep ball as well. He also played for a powerhouse school against low level competition.

I think teams were scared off by Lynch's wonderlic score (18) and for whatever reason, want these QB's to start in year 1 which history has proven that tends to be a mistake compared to sitting out a QB for a year. I think Elway got himself a 6'7" 245 pound Aaron Rodgers if they are patient. And that's why he will find the Broncos hoisting up a Lombardi again and we'll be desperate to figure out how to replace Romo when he just can't physically go anymore.

True but you know how much a beating rb takes in today's game.

true but then the argument that since we had Morris and McFadden, there was no need for Zeke is silly given McFadden is going to be 29 and Morris is also showing his age

Just want ask those who wanted another player other than Elliott to just explain how they feel right now.

Not trying to enflame anyone.

I just think we all need to come together in a tense moment like this.

I post this because I care.

We need to come together for a group hug.

I think he will be a really good RB for us. What bothers me about the pick is it is very short sighted. Other than our O-Line our best depth position is now probable RB. Carr and Claiborne are both free agents next year which is why I think Ramsey is a pick that would have made more sense for us longterm

I'm fine with this pick.

My hope was that one of the top two QBs would be there for Dallas to draft but I knew when The Rams and Eagles traded up in the weeks leading to the draft that it meant neither of the two guys I wanted at #4 would be there.

That left it (At least in my mind) being either Elliot, Ramsey, Bosa, Tunsil, or a trade down.

I did not want anything at all to do with Bosa. So anything that kept us from taking him I was perfectly good with. I just feel like he's a huge bust waiting to happen.

I'd have been very pleased with Tunsil, as I've said before, cause it would have completed the O-line, IMO. After him my favorite option was to trade down and pick up some extra picks. Picking Elliot or Ramsey I would have been fine with (And I am fine with the Elliot pick) and given the choice of the two I'd rather have Elliot than Ramsey.

I'm not nearly as high on Ramsey as some folks are but that's just personal opinions there.

The second part of this I don't get. I don't get where Morris is showing his age. He had a down year, after 3 very productive ones, mostly due to them using the younger guy more. I don't really feel like the guy played bad or showed to be some player who is showing age or about to wash up.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think Morris is still a pretty dang good back.

He is 27 as well, when someone who gets past 25 as a RB has a bad year, it usually means age is showing. Anyway, Zeke at 20 vs Morris at 27. Mmm which is better.

My honest response is "meh".

I am fine with this pick and not upset, but it's not what I would have done. Zeke is a Cowboy now and has my support.
