Honest response

I came home from work at 7 pm. Ate dinner and fell asleep at 8 pm. I forgot all about the draft being on. Woke up at 9:30 and checked the draft. I wasn't going to get excited no matter who we picked. Even months ago, it just seemed like this would be a mediocre draft. None of these players excited me.

Yawning! Thanks for nothing

maybe. I dont agree, but maybe. Not too many teams let the offensive player of the year, who lead the league in rushing, breaking E. Smiths singld season record........................ go; But we did.

But the real mistake was the backup plan to Murray leaving was ..........Joe Randle and a throw away DMC.

We win by having a a tough , smashmouth running game. Its an attitude. A chemistry...etc etc.... We have this awesome OL. Now , lets let EE/Morris pound the football. And demoralize the oppossing team. Thats how we win,as long as we have Romo....

It was not a mistake to let him walk, but it was a epic failure to not have a plan in place to get another top RB. I think Jerry was counting on Peterson being in Dallas.

I was good with Ramsey or Elliot and I thought they would go Ramsey....Im ecstatic with Elliot.

I'm scratching my head now, with all the 1000 AP threads last season. We got the younger closet version of him here. Much cheaper, healthier, & for longer than a 2 year cash cow contract.
"Just imagine what AP can do here"
"AP goes for 2000 yrds"
"AP breaks the season rushing record"
" JJ trade picks for AP, win now for Romo"

Sheeeesh! We got Zeke the Freak now. Let's rock n roll....nuff said

:hammer:

I wanted Ramsey, but still feel great. Zeke will be a stud, but I'm really worried we try to use Morris as a change of pace back. IMO Morris is superfluous now.
It means chicken legs is expendable. Keep Morris.

If you have a top 5 pick on a team with a 36-year-old quarterback coming off an injury-riddled year, how do you not use it on a qb? Then you try to trade back into the first round for one and you fail. Which means you end up settling for a quarterback option that you don't believe in. That's a total failure.

I'm good with Zeke. I wanted Wentz. They should have taken Lynch at #4, if that was their guy.

Pretty simple, the 2 QBs worth the pick were taken.

I feel like we're about to get a very good defensive player in the 2nd, and wouldn't mind if we traded one of next year's picks to get an extra 2nd, because if we're going all in to win for Romo, we need defensive help immediately.

Just want ask those who wanted another player other than Elliott to just explain how they feel right now.

Not trying to enflame anyone.

I just think we all need to come together in a tense moment like this.

I post this because I care.

We need to come together for a group hug.

I wanted Ramsey or Tunsil. I still think they are the better players. But I'm still happy about the pick. Zeke is a good player. I just think there are more important holes to fill.

Love Zeke, 4th is too rich for ANY RB. Even the RB's that has been picked at 4th or higher didn't live up to the selection, don't think Zeke will be the first.

Taking a RB at 4th overall just seems like the sort of pick you make when you feel secure everywhere else.

I think the smart play would have been to take the trade Baltimore offered (assuming it was a 3rd or 4th) and then take Elliot at #6...unless Baltimore was trading up Elliott

I think we are headed for some long years. This organization is still playing checkers. I have to wonder if EE wasn't selected by us, how far would he have dropped?

I don't think we can get a talent like Ramsey or Lynch anytime soon. I do think we can get a comparable talent to EE if we were patient.

And generally speaking, Big-10 RB's haven't torn up the NFL lately.

I wanted a DL in the 10ish range... so i think we really really failed getting a RB at 4 overall. ouch.
