Much better than the 1st half of the season. It's nice to see some rushing yards too.

SHOW Me a case where a ALL PRO Offensive Lineman was moved to a new position?
Go ahead.
Kris Dielman was an undrafted defensive lineman who switched to guard and became an all-pro player and was one of the best at

this was just too easy
not only did he switch, he became a pro bowl player after he switched. So it works both ways LMAO.

Dan Dierdorf Started as a guard, went to Tackle and finished as a Center all for the (then) St Louis Cardinals. Jim Parker, Split 5 seasons each as an all-pro Tackle and then guard (usually the progression is “inward”) lots of “bust” tackles stuck at guard. A lot of Guards have had to play center on an emergency basis, but Center tends to be a long-term position for really smart (but slightly physically underwhelming) linemen. The responsibilities are a little different, but the skills transfer between positions so linemen are moved fairly often. One check is whether your line is playing their “best” position(s) or shuffling to cover all five.

. This is just too much fun.

I didn’t watch much of the game this past week, but is Hoffman showing promise being a starting center? If so, how about Beene taking over the Martin spot next year?

Overpaid overhyped bums on way out. Young hungry dudes on their way in. Things are looking up at least. I am sure they will screw it all up and pay Tyler Smith to play slightly above average LG like he is the worlds greatest LT.
Other than Steele who? Zack’s not over hyped, he just got too old all at once. Sad
Hoffman and Bass turning out to be good. I believe Asim Richards will replace Steele next year or a draft pick.

I feel like they need to find a 2nd WR, Tolbert, Brooks, Flournoy are jags and Cooks is washed.

“ JAGS “ …how about Dallas addresses the defense in the draft and they try to develop some of these half dozen WR’s already here

Well yes that needs to be addressed, but the thread title is about the starting five.

The only one hitting the road from who is here now is Steele. Add a vet swing tackle and Jones family friend Edoga and you’re close.
I don't believe we are close. We have looked good against poor teams. We have one legit guard. 2 high draft picks with potential, and two undrafted players that are developing. After that we have zero depth. I don't think that is anything to be excited about.

You have an aging QB coming off an injury, who happens to be the highest paid in the league. You may want to protect that investment a little bit better than that.

Yes, it is not uncommon for Pro Bowl linemen to switch positions on the offensive line throughout their careers, with many players moving between left tackle and right tackle, or sometimes even shifting to guard depending on team needs and their skillset; notable examples include Tristan Wirfs, Jonah Williams, and Penei Sewell who all switched sides in the.
Stick that up your Christmas spirit. Lol.
In recent years I'm pretty sure Pittsburgh & Green Bay have both shuffled their entire line addressing injuries. I know I have watched broadcasts where they mentioned All Pro caliber players moving in order to get a solid line.

Running the ball is protecting the QB. The QB can protect himself by learning how to play the position and not making the OL block forever.

That is true that some top Tackles moved inside as they aged. My Point was when was a Player who was currently ALL PRO at one position moved to another to stay; not just because of Injury or temporary need. We had Martin play RT because of NEED but he was soon BACK at Guard.
YOU want to move an ALL PRO Guard to LT where he simply is not as good.
That will not happen.
LA was a very fine Tackle but he was the all time Great at Guard which was where he was moved to because that was his BEST position. Tyler Smith MIGHT make a fine LT; but he will never be as good there as he is at Guard. So that is where he will remain. You put your players in the position that they are BEST at.

They can get quality defensive help in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, there are only a few quality WRs in this draft.

Do you really have faith in Tolbert, Brooks, Flournoy or Mingo? I don't and feel like they need some speed at the position.

To see these guys get movement, and push people off the ball, it looked great!!! It's been looking great for the last few weeks, grant it some will say we're playing against bad defenses, I get that. The object is to get movement on the guy in front of you and to create lanes/sustain blocks. These guys have been looking really good, I'm no trying to anoint them and put them all in Canton. There's been better play coming from these guys, and it should be praised!! Please give your thoughts
Still think they need to sort out the line......

same as before

no hope in the offensive line coach.

most likely some talent on the line that will be wasted in the future and if we re lucky another wasted draft.

I didn’t say I wanted to do anything. All I said was they do it. And you said prove it. I should’ve said Larry Alan.
