How bad does this board melt?

If the Cowboys don't get a 1st down on the first drive and the other team does– This place melts like a Yankee Candle.

And then it gets worse from there.

You need a strong constitution to put up with all the whining and crying in the game thread.
It also is a a bit fun to feel the emotion of the fanbase in real-time.

@Reality - any way to change the default to have more posts on the page for the game-day threads? My biggest issue with them is they move so fast you miss a ton unless you're sitting there pressing f5 constantly.

i recently came over from the old Cowboys message board during the offseason. So I am a rookie for the game threads.

Just wondering how bad this board melts down when it ain’t going our way. I will give fair warning that my posts are very critical and sometimes “slightly” negative during the game. It’s like I expect them to be perfect or something. Lol. I usually come back to reality after the game, unless we lose and then I snap blame people for the loss for a few days. If it’s close and we win I kool out.

But the Dez catch - non catch I melted down for a month. A lot of us from the old boards did. I still do. And the last game with Byron admiring rodgers instead of covering his guy RIGHT BEHIND HIM.

Any ways was just wondering. And want to appologize in advance for myself and some of my brothers from the old boards. I do however stay within the rules of the board.

Game threads are awesomely funny.

you bet it is. lol...Its like watching a car race for the wrecks..aftermath , same applies here. Makes it fun...until it gets just redundant, then its a downer.

ditto...I use to think I could engage with them and reason, but learned it was mostly a failed idea. So like u,I learned to simply not respond. Its all fodder anyways. If u remember over on the old DC message boards that you and I were on for many years,it was arguably even worse. It got REAL vile over there at times.
Yep. That’s why some of us used the “rest of the NFL” sub forum over there at DC and opened a thread in there and had our own little game day thread. We would name it something odd and PM everyone the name of it so we knew where to go.

It varies. It'll start out funny -- then oftentimes, after reading so many dramatic over-reactions, I'll shake my head and log off.

I TRY to avoid the boards during the games, and several days after if we lose. Not just because of other people's negative posts, but because of what I'll post too. I have gotten better tho. With all the rule changes and bad calls, l find myself caring less and less about the NFL every year. I get more frustrated than anything else...

wasn't aware...that's a cool idea.

Yeah, and they refused to give us mods the power to shut it down. So, I learned to just stay away.

One of my methods that I still employ is to simply not go back to vitriolic threads. It was extremely difficult at first, but started getting much easier the more I did it.

hey man, when I was in my 20's...I would be on here if I could...over on the dc message board and would spend hours dealing with shills. Now that Im nearly 50...I'm a freakin teddy bear lol...I just wont engage in a whole lotta bs or nonsense. Its not worth my time.

Made it so much easier, that way my negative post didn’t get swallowed up by the others. Lol. But yeah there was about 10 or 15 of us. Thought of doing that here.
you should.Let me know if u do. I will find it..

I have no problem losing my you know what during game day. What do you expect a tea party?

My wife told me nobody likes watching the game with me yet I keep gathering more lunatics like myself year after year. Even better I read the game day thread and even I get a kick out of it. It's honestly the best aspect of the forum. It's hilarious.
